The hotel looks welcoming and impressive ,it is a fair distance from the center of Rome if you are thinking of walking to any tourist attractions, although the hotel does run a free bus shuttle service from 8 am till 11 pm to the centre of Rome from there the train service is fairly cheap(7 euros for 24 hours which covers...

My husband bought us a 3 day break in Rome at this hotel as we always said that we'd return to see what we'd missed 11 years ago on our first holiday together. He bought this trip through Voyage Prive flying from Manchester to Ciampino Airport. Transfers to and from the hotel were not included so we ended up getting...

We arrived at the hotel on a Friday Evening and both of us were impressed with the grandeur of the hotel itself upon arrival but at the end of our stay I think our only way to describe the hotel is pretentious. The check in was very swift and off we went to our room. It was small but enough...

Location: The hotel is situated a good hours walk from the main station and half hour from Rome center but the hotel offer a free mini bus that you can book in a morning. It runs every hour and was always on time. This takes you to one side of the center but the metro is cheap and right next...

The hotel is well located, in a walking distance you can find high-quality family restaurants, supermarkets etc. Taking into consideration restricted parking area, the hotel parking helps a lot. Though the hotel is in a distance from the city center, there is free shuttle service provided by the hotel to get to the city center and back. The quarter is...

Everything about our stay at The Duke Hotel was 1st- rate. All staff were excellent, friendly , obliging & very helpful, from the Desk to the drivers of the wonderful Shuttle Bus to Piazza Del Popolo , which makes a stay at the hotel so straightforward. In particolare Grazie to Alessandro on the Desk who arranged our trip to the...

We really enjoyed our four nights in this hotel. All staff were friendly, the rooms were spacious with an old world charm and the breakfast buffet was delicious. The hotel is outside the centre of Rome but the hotel provides a prebookable shuttle bus. The hotel has large, attractive restaurant/lounges with a grand old fashioned feel. We really liked it.

This is my third review of this hotel, even if I had this great experience many times more! So I'm really sure in confirming the excellence of my choice. If you are tired of "standard" and impersonal Rome accommodations, go for this small, but really well runned pearl. It's one of the best kept secret in Rome: the staff is...

Staying in Parioli

Neighbourhood Profile
Young and well-to-do families are the street flavour of Parioli. A new kind of Rome, this area is centuries away from the Renaissance with its pockets of 1930s palaces, tony boutiques, open-air markets and plenty of coffee shops. Parioli was built as an enclave for last century’s haute bourgeois and still represents as such in 21st century Rome. Need a break? The area has several great sporting clubs known for tennis and riding, a wonderful modern art museum, easy access to the zoo (Europe’s oldest), and is nestled around Rome’s very best parks including Villa Borghese, Villa Ada and Villa Glori.
