We just had a four night stay at the Sofitel Villa Borghese in Rome. We chose this hotel because we are quite frequent visitors in Sofitel hotels. Especially the one in Luxembourg, in which we stay twice every summer. We understand that each hotel reflects the city and the culture where it is located, but we would still expect a...

We stayed at the Sofitel twice during our trip in January - the night prior to our Mediterranean cruise and the night upon our return. In both instances our stay was faultless. Great location for accessing a lot of the major tourist sites, lovely helpful staff, beautiful rooms and generous breakfast. We only wish we had more time in Rome...

This hotel is very close to the Spanish steps and is therefore an ideal location for a weekend off or a city trip. For me it was a combination of business with some days of vacation. The rooms are spacious, extremely clean and tastefully decorated. The whole hotel is full of marble without being overwelmining. There is plenty of choice...

I am a fan of Sofitel and stay in them whenever I can. Last stayed here 5 years ago and returned last weekend for six nations rugby. The hotel standards are as good as ever in terms of the staff attentiveness and the public areas, I would have to say the room we had was looking shabby and needs a...

Fantastic trip to Rome which was only made better by staying at this fantastic hotel. The location is brilliant, very central to be able to walk to most places! 10 mins from the top of the Spanish steps. The hotel helped us book a couple of tours and the service was always exceptional. This is my second visit.

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
