This hotel is a great property. It's within walking distance to the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain, and a metro stop. If you're taking the train from the airport, it's very easy and inexpensive to take the metro to the hotel. Inside, the property is well appointed and the room we had was very clean and in great condition. Clean...

Nice hotel in a great location in Rome, not too far from the Spanish Steps and a Metro station. Upon arrival, the bellman and front desk staff were effusive in their welcome. The bellman remembered me and greeted me every time he saw me. The front desk area was a bit cramped and not terribly private, but that's no big...

We stayed for our wedding anniversary. We arrived to a fantastic doorman and a card and chocolates from the manager in the room. The room was large, comfortable and with a lOvely view over gardens. The bathroom was big, and even though needs a bit of redecoration was still fantastic with gorgeous towels and robes etc. The bed was huge,...

This is a great example of a hotel that offers friendly, helpful and genuine service throughout. I was truly bowled over by this wonderful Team, who could not do enough to make sure we had a wonderful stay. OK - the hotel is quite old in decor and the restaurant on the roof is over priced. But it shows that...

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the five star sofitel hotel in Rome which was an absolute delight. It was our first wedding anniversary and therefore we wanted this trip to be very special and the hotel did not let us down with superb beautifully dressed rooms which looked totally independent and not part of a...

Hotel was very nice and staff friendly. Some remarks however: - Advice from the staff about good restaurant were not exact. - As well the concierges confirmed us that Castel Sant'Angelo were open Monday although this is not the case. Luckily, before to go there, we phoned to the castle museum and a voice mail informed us that it was...

Room, food, terrace bar, view, wi-fi, room service, friendliness, local advice. Surely among the best hotels in Rome. Relaxed yet classy. Great breakfast, lovely bar, proper tea and coffee. Will no longer consider going anywhere else when in Rome..

Exellent, excellent and again excellent. The staff at all levels are to be congratulated on their friendliness, hospitality and efficiency. The rooms were large and very confortable and as usual Sofitel beds and pillows can´t be surpasssed. Breakfast was included for my wife and I and we paid for my grandaughter. EUROS 30,00 is a little steep. Otherwise only positive...

First time in a Sofitel and was expecting plain and corporate. Was far more luxurious and seemed like a stand alone hotel rather than a chain. Superb breakfast and great views from top floor bar / restaurant in the evening. Breakfast is served in the basement but is surprisingly well laid out. That being said I don't understand why they...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
