We were on a tour and had to stay at this hotel on 3 separate nights. First of all décor is very dated and old. Only 1 very flat pillow per guest. You cannot turn on any air in your room so the only option is to open a window (not screens, hello mosquitos!) It was the noisiest place I...

We were put into this Hotel from Carrani Tours not recommended we were to stay at the Mediterraneo Hotel across the street. That has already upset us. So I am trying to do this review fairly on the hotel it self. The 1st room they put us in was small, which is a norm for Europe. The bed was really...

This was two nights in Rome and each night provide us the rest we needed for the early start the next day. Because we were on tour with Collette it was important to have a good night sleep. This hotel was great, it had everything we needed for a good two night stop.

We stayed here for 3 nights. To start with the good points: This hotel was very near the station which meant getting to and from the airport was so easy and cost €14 per person each way. (Recommend a train over a taxi). We also walked to the colosseum (18 mins) and to Vatican City (around 45/50 mins) and there...

Good sized rooms and comfy beds but no view. Fine for short stay but wouldn't want to be stuck in room for long. Nice big bathroom. Great breakfast. Terrific location nr train station. Dinner at restaurant was average. Great service but food was only average.

The best part of this hotel is the location, it is literally a minute walk from Roma Termini. Many attractions are within walking distance. The Basilica of Mary Major is a few minutes walk away, very beautiful. There are plenty of food options around. Check-in was quick and our luggage was delivered to our room afterwards. The bedroom has historic...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
