in an excellent, quiet location near to all touristic places. We can recommend it without any restrictions. Special highlight is the Roof garden with bar and the excellent restaurant Mirabelle; an unforgettable panoramic view over the city Rome.

While we did not have a balcony suite we did have a suite, which was marvelous. The location of the hotel is perfect for all trips within Rome. Walking everywhere in the mornings and coming back to relax in the room to take on the afternoon was perfect for us. Rome is 7 hills, so you're always walking up or...

The exterior of the hotel is not very exciting, but once you enter, it is beautiful and very elegant. All the staff, from the uniformed Doormen in their Top Hats and flowing capes, to the reception staff and all the waiters are so exceptionally polite and keen to offer every assistance. The service throughout is exemplary. Hotel is situated a...

I booked this through the Small Luxury Hotels of the World and got an upgrade from my booking on arrival. The hotel is just on the edge of the Borghese Gardens and a short walk from the Spanish Steps. The level of service and comfort is excellent. The restaurant in the hotel is seriously expensive and unfortunately there is no...

The hotel is billed as a 5 star establishment, but I would rate it a 4 star, due to: -- the Wifi service is both slow and unreliable in the bedrooms. Service was better in the lobby and common area on the first floor, but could still be improved. When my husband mentioned this to the front desk, he was...

The hotel was definitely one of the best in Rome, if not Italy. Rooms were extremely wide and spacious, staff was very helpful as well as fluent in English, and the hotel's restaurant was very luxurious and had panoramic views of Rome. I would definitely recommend Hotel Splendide Royal to anyone visiting Rome!!

The hotel is a lovely old style but very elegant palace style hotel. We got a Supreme room and were upgraded to a junior suite which was very nice. Small things we didnt like was that some details are too old like the carpets and the toilet had a terrible smell from the shower drain but generally a very nice...

Fantastic location, very warm and helpful staff and really comfortable luxurious rooms with incredible views, especially if your room is on the top floors (5th & 6th). You also have one of the top restaurants in town (Mirabelle).

We stayed here for three nights at the beginning of November. From the moment the door man, Dante in his top hat and cape, greeted us we couldn't have asked for anything better. Check in was fast although we were early arrivals we had to wait about 30 minutes for our room to be ready. We had a beautifully appointed...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
