Hotel Splendide Royal is well located to explore all of the main attractions in Rome by foot. The hotel staff were all incredibly helpful, professional and friendly. The view from the restaurants are fantastic and the food and service at La Mirabelle made for the best meal out that we have ever had - the staff could not do enough...

A beautifully restored monastery . Grand and yet quite a small hotel . Sumptuous decor of golds and greens and with a modern bright and mostly glazed upper floor restaurant for breakfast with views over Rome towards the Vatican and a more formal restaurant with a terrace one floor up . A beautiful bedroom , curved doors , large ,...

Maybe better for business and friends than couples. But really awesome stay. Valet with very nice moustache swinging around doors. What else do you need. Rooms are super quiet and has nice lightning. Staff is very friendly and accommodating.

Rome was the last stop on our vacation in Italy. We had experienced stays in apartments, and hotels. The Splendid Royal was in a great location. Short walk to Spanish Steps. (now in Italy short may be longer than one thinks, lol) Our room was large and the breakfast was delicious. What impressed me the most was the doormen. They...

This is a very elegant and beautiful hotel. Our room was very spacious and spotlessly clean with separate bathroom complete with toiletries, robes & slippers. It is in an ideal location for exploring the city, with the Trevi fountain & Spanish Steps just a short walk away and next to the Borghese gardens. We had breakfast at the hotel which was...

We have been a lot of times in Roma but this is the best hotel I have seen in the town. It is situated in a perfect area of the town, close to the historical center, easy for walking to the best shops also. The service is very polite, it is clean, the breakfast is perfect. The rooms are large...

An incredibly beautiful hotel across from Bourchese Gardens with wonderful views from rooftop of Vatican. The location is suberb with walking distance from Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps and the world's best shopping. A must for business and pleasure travelers.

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
