From arrival to departure, what a super hotel, with a fantastic location and gold standard service provided by everbody from the welcolme at reception, the helpfull conceierge and the plesant cleaning staff. Our suite overloooked the gardens to the font of the hotel and we found it quite, comfortable and very clean. Although seasoned travellers, this was our first visit... More

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Rome. We dreamt about going to Rome and I must say that the Splendide Royal is heaven. We had a great stay in a lovely room with terrace and we could see the Vatican Cupola. Staff is very professional. Breakfast room is amazing overlooking the Borghese Park. Hotel Splendide Royal is impressive and a... More

+ points:- The Splendide Royal is well placed in a good area, ideal to explore the centre of Rome on foot & it is a lovely oasis away from the heat & hustle of the tourist spots. First impressions are very good; although rather ostentatious the décor & furnishing are top quality, very opulent & well maintained throughout the hotel.... More

Helpful staff, impressive surroundings. Central location 5 min walk to Trevi Fountain and Spanish steps. Top of a hill but keeps you fit so you can eat more ice cream!! Room was fantastic, the jacuzzi bath was great for the end of a day. Staff were very efficient

We were looking for a treat to end our honeymoon in Italy. Having been fortunate enough to have been both business and leisure travellers for many years across the globe, and experienced GENUINE 5-star hotels, we were looking forward to this experience. We'd been staying in a beautiful hotel in Amalfi and decided to have our last 3 days in... More

Dear Guest, we regret to read your bad comment and we feel it is totally unfair and not respecting the facts that we will explain here bellow to the other customers: You declared your mixed up with the reservation while it looks very strange to us that Expedia can make such mistake as a matter of fact you have been... It is amazing how having nice/caring staff will make such a big difference in our stays. The airline lost my baggage and without help of the front desk staff I would have never seen my baggage again. They made several phone calls day and night until they finally located my bag. About the Hotel: This hotel is not a true... More

It's such a beautiful hotel, full of character and history. It's very close to Via Veneto so it's perfectly located. The hotel itself is just gorgeous - very high ceilings, warm colours and old paintings everywhere - it's decorated in an 'antique-y' style but it very warm and welcoming. Our room was gorgeous - , decorative wooden ceilings, and a... More

I chose this hotel after reading all the glowing reviews. Maybe I was expecting too much, but my husband & I were somewhat disappointed. Our deluxe room was attractive - although the mattress & the pillows were hard as rocks. Breakfast was good - but very pricey at 30 euros. I asked the concierge to book our appointment time at... Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
