Stayed here for four nights, found it a good basic hotel, clean, friendly and a good base for getting around Rome, staff were helpful and friendly, breakfast was a typical continental buffet, small bar and restaurant that never seemed to be open. Irish bar across the road was ok for a quiet drink, would choose this hotel again if I...

The reception looks nice, the person in charge when we arrived was perfect and showed us 2 rooms. We chose the one we prefered, ie, the one not overlooking the street because we were scared of the noise. The rooms we had the choice of were small and the bathrooms were pretty basic and in the room we stayed, in...

We used the Hotel Priscilla as a place to sleep during our short break to Rome. We didn't need lots of facilities. The hotel is fairly central. (10 min walk from Termini, 10 min from Spanish Steps) The staff are friendly, and their English is probably good enough that you could stay here without knowing any Italian. Our room was...

We experienced a number of problems with our room at Hotel Priscilla. The air conditioning in our room was not working at all for one day (it was in August and the daily temps were over 40 degrees celsius) and this was extremely uncomfortable as we have 2 children. The staff could not care less. They stated that the people...

Rooms were clean and I thought beds were comfortable, although my partner did not. Hot water not particularly powerful and bathroom small with a few hairs in the shower. True, the TV was small, the breakfast not great (although the lady serving it was brilliant) but the room was cool and not bothered by noise. The staff were v helpful,...

We stayed at The Priscilla the last week of April 09. It's not a luxury hotel but is great for a vacation. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. The location is great we walked everywhere from the hotel. Breakfast was great, ( I actually miss the cornetti very much since I can't find them here in the states). The lady...

After reading some of the negative reviews on this site, I was a little apprehensive - but I was pleasantly surprised. Service - The front desk guys were friendly and did the job and hotel cleaning staff always had a "buon giorno" for us. We asked for a taxi to the airport but were told they had a private driver...

I'd advise you not to stay at the Priscilla, the beds are rock hard meaning none of us had a decent night sleep. Also there were a few rugby fans staying who were running round corriders and despite complaints the staff did little about it. Definately not a 3 star hotel, more like a 1 or 2 - its quite...

My husband and I just returned from Rome. We stayed at the Priscila. We bought it as a three star hotel. For my surprise, here they claim to bem a 4 star!!!! Never! It´s not more than a 1 star hotel. We stayed at 2 star hotels much better than the Priscila for the same price. The rooms are terribly...

I usually do not let these reviews persuay me unless completely terrible, but I think the management should know how we felt about our stay. My sister and I were in Rome for three days and had a wonderful time, other than our hotel stay. We are not picky people and usually will find the fun and good in all,...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
