The location was perfect, walking distance to so many sites in Rome, and steps away from the oldest gelato spot. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious. The staff was very friendly and helpful, speaking English very well. Would highly recommend!
Room was very good and was located near parliament which gave significant security for walking at night. Police & Military were everywhere. Location was central to Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Piazza Navonna, Pantheon, Vatican and many churches, basilicas & piazzas. Be sure to visit the...More
We stayed only one night as we returned to Rome before flying home. The Hotel and the room were both beautiful. There was some construction going on; therefore, we were upgraded upon arrival to a beautiful quiet room.

Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural
storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.

We stayed at the Hotel Nazionale in May of this year. We had a "Classic Double Room" which was on the 2nd floor. There were no signs of renovation, but the room was clean, quiet, with adequate space. We saw no signs of renovation anywhere, but we were not looking for it.
