This is a very nice and quiet hotel in center of Rome. We had a wonderful view from 5th floor over the city and towards St Paul Cathedral. No noice from the streets or other guests. Short distances to all major pointe of interest or buses that takes you all over Rome. The hotel is located with the governements meeting...

We stayed here for a long weekend. Check-in was friendly and informative and we were given two lovely rooms overlooking the Parliament. The hotel is centrally located and all the main attractions within walking distance. Breakfast was good and kept us going for the day. Would stay here again.

Professional staff, spotless rooms, lovely breakfast, comfortable, only negative was despite the doors being enormous they let in a lot of noise, also fair bit of noise, I'm assuming from refuse collectors night and morning and from protestors almost every day at the government buildings opposite.

Sloppy service, Disappointing and expensive for basically a 3 star hotel. Had to ask twice to get our room cleaned, finally done at 8pm. Stained furniture in the room. Unusable 'free' wifi doesn't work in the evening so the paid EU5 a day is forced on you - they waived the charge. Central location in Place Montecitorio. Big room on...

Staff were wonderful, accommodating, and helpful. Rooms were well appointed, breakfast was delicious pastries, with staff actively participating for specialty coffees. Evening Bar staff were very accommodating and friendly.

My wife and I are frequent visitors to Rome and have stayed in several hotels. The Nazionale undoubtedly offers the best balance of location and value. Situated in a quiet square it is a haven from busy Rome, yet also central to the Rotunda / Pantheon area with its cobbled streets, restaurants and boutiques. If you are looking for a...

Six of us stayed here in August of 2015. It was in the heart of Rome and everything we wanted to see was within walking distance or a short cab ride away. GREAT LOCATION. We had breakfast included which had everything you could want. Each of us had very different décor in our rooms. Ours was very contemporary, another was...

This hotel was only ok for the price. I went to Rome for work and decided to extend my trip. I was alone and during check in I felt the host was trying to put me in a tiny room despite paying extra for a "classic deluxe". One women at the desk was lovely and helpful, but the guy was...

Our room, while very large, is dated. Also, king size bed consisted of two mattresses on top of a box spring. I have a hard time sleeping and actually fell on the floor. Ouch! On the plus side, the staff is great and the location is perfect.

I am so happy we chose to stay at the Hotel Nazionale. The location was perfect - in the heart of Rome but next door to the quiet Italian parliament. We walked to all of the sites from our hotel - colosseum, Vatican, trevi fountain, Spanish steps, palatine, etc. Perfect for a great nights sleep. The breakfast was excellent and...

Staying in Colonna

Neighbourhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
