The double room we stayed in was not as nice as we thought they would be in comparison to the whole setting of the hotel, but we did enjoy our stay here after a mishap with our BNB. Location is very central to a lot of things. We actually were able to walk to the Colosseum from the hotel (approx....

I liked staying here. The positives. I thought breakfast was quite good, nicely presented and food for all eating habits. Yougurt, fruit, fresh and canned. Eggs, cheese, meats and sweets. The breakfasr room attendent made me a cappucino from the bar upstairs. It is not necessary to rely on the coffee machine in the breakfast room. Also, of course the beautiful,...

The hotel is close to the main train station, which is also where the airport shuttle bus will drop you off. It is within a comfortable (and pleasent) walk from the main attractions. There is also a good internet connection.

It's a few blocks from the train station. The staff is very professional. It has a quiet garden and is a delightful, quality place to stay. The location is great. 3 blocks from Termini (the train station), and the staff speaks perfect English and more. No issue is too much for them to handle. I have traveled for many years...

This is perfectly situated near the Central Termini and some great restaurants. The day staff was very friendly and helpful. The courtyard was beautiful and the perfect place to sit and sip lemonicello while we waited for our room. Our triple room had enough space for open suitcases and overlooked the courtyard. It was very quiet and the jetted tub...

Ideally situated 5 minutes walk from Termini Station and all major tourist attractions are easily reached within a 30/ 40 minute walk, we stayed here for 5 nights, meeting up with our son, for a short holiday. We had room 121 which was situated in the garden of the hotel and was surprisingly quiet for a city location. The room...

We stayed for a week following a cruise that ended in Civitavecchia. A short three block walk from Termini (main railroad station) delivered us to a warm reception and a very clean and quiet room. Astoria Garden's location is very convenient with lots of reasonable restaurants nearby and quick access to the subway. But the two big reasons to stay...

More money may have gotten something "nicer". However for the rate and including a reasonable breakfast this place was nice and clean and in a great location. The front desk was very responsive and we have absolutely no complaints

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
