From the moment we checked in to the hotel every member of staff was delightful, helpful and friendly. Our room was large and spacious and spotless. The housekeepers did a fab job and our room was made up while we were out and the large fluffy towels were replaced daily. The breakfast room served a delicious continental breakfast with the addition of bacon and scrambled eggs along with all the usual fresh baked goods, fresh fruit, cereals, tea and coffee in abundance and several flavoured local honeys ensured a fantastic start to each day. It’s located in the university district so early morning and 5-7pm it was hustle and bustle as the students made their was to school but after that it was Loveland quiet at night. A short walk to the metro and onward to every attraction made it very well situated.

Hotel was clean and tidy and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was great! Staff generally excellent, however hotel reception hit and miss depending who was on shift. Check in and out very swift. Access to the City easy via metro

Nice hotel in a fairly lively area, close to metro and tram services. Room was a good size with a comfy bed and good shower. The breakfast was good but evening meal not so, by far the worst meal of our stay in Rome. A bar area where you could sit and enjoy a drink after a busy day would of been nice, but we bought our own and utilised the fridge in the room instead.

We picked a Best Western feeling we would know what we were getting, and it looked nicer than the Italian hotels which were more central. The staff were extremely helpful and the room was cleaned daily even when we didn't request for the room to be made up. My partner and I stayed in a family room with our three year old daughter. She had a sofa bed made up for her. The room was clean and had a balcony. Plus a window so we could keep the room cool. Our biggest frustration was that there was one plug socket for the entire room. This was located by the kettle. Fortunately we took a plug with two USB ports and a plug socket. Still; it was very awkward to charge everything, and not being able to charge our phones next to our bed was rather inconvenient. The kettle spilled over every time we boiled it, which ended up going all over the wires. We had a standard sized wardrobe with only five hangers. My daughter was delighted to discover a bidet and chose to wash her bottom three times a day. There was insufficient storage space in the bathroom. The shower was a lovely size but one small corner shelf only. A large sink, but no other shelving. It was hard to get organised and find space for everything which I found quite stressful. The TV didn't work. Water in the fridge was sparkling, but there was a vending machine downstairs. However, this kept stopping working after getting a couple of bottles of water. There was little nearby in the way of shops so it was disappointing not to be able to buy water and snacks more easily. Restaurant was open in the morning for breakfast only. The breakfast spread was quite nice with pastries, cakes, yoghurt, toast, bacon, scrambled eggs, cheeses, hams and a nice selection of honey's and preserves. I wasn't a fan of the coffee machine and finding a small spoon wasn't always easy. I was pleased to find a shelf with plastic cutlery, bowls and beakers for my little one, aswell as colouring pencils.

Visited for a few days with 2 teenagers during the Easter break. Hotel is around half an hour by taxi from Fumincino airport, situated in a university district. It's a five minute walk to the nearest metro, which is only few stops from everything you need. Hotel itself is good, we had adjoining rooms for the 4 of us - 2 bathrooms, plenty of space given it's a city hotel. Has all the basics, tea and coffee and complimentary water in the fridge. There was some traffic noise, but it's Rome, to be expected really. Staff were very helpful, booking taxis etc. and the room rate is very reasonable. We didn't have the breakfast, plenty of places to grab coffee and pastries nearby. All in all, a good experience, would recommend.

Hotel is nice enough. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Rooms are very basic. Limited sockets within the room means it can be quite a challenge to charge multiple devices at the one time. Room facilities were ok although there was a regular smell from the drains in the hallway and room, no milk for tea/coffee and paper cups which weren’t replaced. These aren’t massive issues on a city break as the majority of your time is spent out and about. The location is what lets this hotel down. It sits on the same straight as a hospital so sirens are heard throughout the night. It’s also in the student district so very busy during the day. The biggest issue with its location is how far it is from the city centre. The Metro is close by which is your only way into the centre to avoid a 45min walk (each way). If you’re looking for a more central hotel that offers nice facilities and a relaxing atmosphere to unwind after a day spent on your feet, this isn’t it.

Just back from a 3 night stay in the Best Western Hotel Globus and I must say im disappointed. Myself and my husband are very much "basic" people and always consider our hotel to be just a place to rest our head during city breaks as we go sightseeing 13+ hours during the day. To start with the positives, the staff were super friendly and always had a smile on their faces. The rooms were also spacious and very clean. Which leads me on to the negatives, although the rooms were spacious and clean, they seemed to lack something. I'm not quite sure what but the size of the room and the minimalistic decor just left the room feeling very very bare. Our room also tended to have a waste water smell every evening on our return from being out all day, I'm not sure where it came from exactly, but we had thought maybe the air conditioning vent (which we couldnt work despite their being a thermostat in the room). To continue with the room we had difficult gaining access to our room every time we tried with the key card, most times we ended up being successful after several attempts, but on our last night I had to venture to reception twice to ask for help when they eventually gave me the master key. Another note about the door is it didn't automatically lock when shut on exit, we could push open our door once we left and then had to forcefully close it, so that is something to be mindful of as we would have assumed it was locked. Again continuing with the rooms, they are very noisy. Like extremely noisy. Myself and husband are very heavy sleepers and not much would disturb our sleep, but you can hear outside noise as if you were sleeping in the street, and we could hear couples staying 2-3 rooms away from us as if they were beside us. The location is a bit hit or miss, you do need to rely on public transport to get to most typical sight-seeing spots. We used the metro and the closest station is about a 10 minute walk. As mentioned , as a couple we are very easily pleased and don't look for any sort of fanfare when it comes to accommodation but I wouldn't stay here again if I was to travel back to Rome.

Absolutely amazing stay. I travelled alone with my 9 month old baby. It was our first trip travelling from Liverpool to Rome. The staff were absolutely beautiful, nothing was too much for them. They provided a cot with suitable bedding and they were so friendly. This was my 11th visit to Rome but my youngest baby's first trip and it couldn't have gone more smoothly. The breakfast here was great, even if he did make a mess with his eggs! 😅 they provided a high chair for him too. There is an upright piano in the reception area which we had a little tinkle on the ivories with! The bed was extremely comfortable, the black out curtains were amazing for a well needed lie in and the bathroom was more than adequate with an over the head shower and a handheld one too. There is a small mini fridge in the room, a large wardrobe and a safe. The room also had a good sized balcony (which we didn't need with the thunderstorms 😅) Across the road, on the corner is a great little coffee shop, open late and does lovely espresso. Down the road are a few little take aways which are great and cheap due to the area being mostly students. You can easily access the tourist areas of Rome, either by bus from Tiburtina area or Policlinico to Termini and by the metro lines across the city. I would definitely recommend this hotel for the value for money, comfort and friendliest of staff! Xx

The hotel as a whole is ok. The location is convenient and our room was large by European standards . The Filipino housekeeping lady was nice and accommodating but this is where the good things stop. The Italian reception and restaurant staff were uniformly rude and unfriendly. They never smiled, answered you with a bad attitude and behaved as if they were doing you a favor. One exception is an older male receptionist who was nice. The breakfast was the same every single day. Italians in general are very friendly people but this hotel's staff were really terrible.

I would definitely recommend this hotel for those visiting Rome on a slightly cheaper budget. We booked last minute and wanted a cheaper getaway and I’m normally really fussy at where I stay, so read a lot of the reviews before we booked. I would have no hesitation staying here again. Hotel was really clean, housekeeping each day, breakfast was help yourself with a good selection (I would recommend going earlier as gets busy around 9.30). Rooms were slightly outdated but not bad. We were given a suite which had an extra bed and bathroom, so this was great for friends, meaning we could have our own separate rooms. Check in/check out was good and there was one lady on reception who would always say hello as we passed. Location was about 10 mins walk to closest metro. There was also shops/restaurants within a short walking distance If you didn’t want to venture out too far. It is in a student area, so there are a lot of students around in the weekdays. Weekend was actually fairly quiet. It’s about a 40 mins walk into the main centre, but metros are easy to use.
