I don' t know where to start! Staff was unfriendly, room was small, with dirty carpet and blanket, the bathroom was disgusting, it was overpriced, it is ridiculous to pay 100 euro per night for this room. Furniture were damaged e.tc. we were forced to go out all day long because it was really hard to stay in the room...

I stayed there the last October with my friend and wasn't bad. It is near from many restaurants and from the central station and you can get buses and trains so easy. The staff was nice. The room was clean but the bathroom wasn't that clean... You have to pay for the internet 3 euro for 3 hours and the...

The hotel is placed in a very old building, what makes our stay a step-back-in-time journey. The rooms are clean and do not smell mold. I got a shared bathroom room, and the bathroom could have had more details as hooks (and also cleaned often). Besides that, staff are lovely. The manager (or owner, I don't know) in personally helped...

Terrible hotel. I'll enumerate everything that was bad at the hotel. 1- no air conditioning. 2- the lights in our room would not turn on unless you spent minutes trying to do so. 3- the shower towels were actually face towels. 4- the bathroom is small, ugly and absolutely DISGUSTING (if you are over 5' tall forget about the shower)....

its 5 minutes (200m) walk from the station, great location. BUT: - The building garbage is at the entrance (as in the pic) - No ventilation in the same flat, when you enter the flat you feel there is no oxygen! - Its not really clean. - TV in room wasn't working. - Have to pay extra for AC and...

I am torn about my comments regarding this hotel. First, its not fair to compare hotels in another country to the U.S. Things are different, from culture to economy. That being said, the whole persona of the establishment was detached, not rude, not friendly. There was no effort to establish any level of rapport with the guests, any requests were...

Demetra is a simple but frendly hotel. It has a good quality of bedrooms and commun spaces, variety in the breakfast choice and extremelly nice staff. Very well localizated, neer the termini train station.

All the common areas, besides the good service, very central, plenty of restaurants and local business around, almost every room has its own bathroom, friendly and helpful staff, great experience :-) Todas las areas comunes, muy limpias y el personal muy amable, fue una agradable experiencia

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
