I enjoyed my stay at the Pantheon because it is near many interesting places. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are small but ok. The wifi is working! Breakfast could have more different cheeses (ricotta) and breads

This was my second time in Rome. Chose the Pantheon area as it is the most central point for doing all the sights. This hotel exceeded all expectations. Located two seconds from Pantheon, on street full of restaurants, bars, souvenir shops, buzzing with life! Everywhere can be walked to from here - Trevi fountain, Piazza Navona, Colloseum, Forum, Vatican -...

I had booked this hotel mainly for its excellent location and good reviews. I was travelling with my elderly mother, a wheelchair user and 2 tween daughters. I had made a reservation for a quadruple room for 3 nights post-cruise. We arrived by private taxi and had to park some 50m from the hotel. The coarse cobblestone at the area...

This hotel is a gem first of all because of its excellent location -right next to the Pantheon- and close to everything in Rome. We walked to the Colosseum, Vatican City, Trastevere, Fontana di Trevi, Piazza di Spagna and, of course, Piazza Navona. Second, everybody was very polite and helpful. The rooms are clean and quite descent. The only thing...

We chose this little hotel because of its central location. It was a good choice, the hotel was comfortable (a little dated), helpful staff, good Italian breakfast buffet. The Pantheon is just around the corner. There is a taxi stand across the piazza at the Pantheon. The Vatican is about 10 minutes by taxi. There are several good restaurants/pizzerias at...

If you look at a tourist map of Rome, the Pantheon is virtually in the middle - which makes a hotel that opens up into it's bustling courtyard centrally located. We never took public transportation because everything was an easy walk away. There were so many restaurants and shops all around. The staff at the hotel was always friendly and...

This hotel is literally 10 steps from the Pantheon. A few more and you are in the church of S. Maria Sopra Minerva (they have a 6:00pm Mass each day). Continue to the Piazza Navona and all the splendor the area contains. The hotel staff was wonderful! Teresa and Roberto were extremely kind and helpful. Emily in the breakfast room...

This hotel is wonderful. The staff are so kind, patient and truly interested in helping you feel good and happy. Rainshowers were great with nice hot water and good pressure. Bathrooms are large. Rooms are tastefully decorated in classic Italian which I love. I changed rooms from the street side to the back/courtyard. Much quieter. TV movie selection nice, although...

Staying in Colonna

Neighbourhood Profile
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Hotel Pantheon is located in an elegant eighteenth-century building in the heart of Rome, just a short walk from the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain and Piazza Navona, in peaceful surroundings, characteristic of an old pedestrian street. The interior of this small but luxurious Rome hotel is well-cared for down to the finest detail, embellished with special, unique details such as the Liberty-style staircase in wrought iron, the wooden-clad walls, the ceilings with old wooden beams, the Roman terracotta floors, the artistic windows and the trompe-l'oeils decorations on the hall walls. The breakfast room is a charming place, thanks to the light of the Carrara marble and the dome ceiling painted with sky-colored trompe-l'oeil. Intimate and friendly, the Hotel Pantheon offers a relaxing stay for its guests, also thinking of their well-being with their range of high quality, personalized services such as ticket booking for shows and exhibitions, guided tours of Rome and the surrounding area, suggestions on itineraries and places that must be seen and the plentiful hot or cold buffet breakfast. ... more   less

“We were given room 401 (lifts go up to floor 3 so a few steps to negotiate to access the annex part of this hotel. ) which accommodated the sofa bed for the 3rd person in the space with a window. The 2 twin beds was in linked but closed space with no windows so if you are a bit claustraphobic request a room where you can see a window. The TV is bolted onto the wall of this closed space which we did not turn on (no English channels and if the TV speaker arial in the other space accidentally touched the steel tray which supported the kettle etc the speakers made a loud buzzing noise). Shower is a sit down plastic spa affair which is a bit fiddly with the plastic knobs coming loose when adjusting. The seat takes up space so if you are of a larger size and you don't want to sit when showering you will not get in; think size of economy airplane toilet. Cannot comment if other rooms are better but the doors on the left of lifts where adorned with pictures whereas the doors to the right did not.”
