The good: centrally located. The not so good: it was really loud outside our room and AC probably would have covered up the residual sound, but since it was April they were not running AC in the rooms. So not only could we hear people drinking and partying outside until 3am, it was really hot since we had to keep...

Having stayed at The Pantheon several times I highly recommend it for warm hospitality and caring attention. I enjoy its intimacy......to order eggs if desired, and always responsive staff. When contacted re a carry on bag left behind on departure, the response was immediate and timely. Despite being adjacent to a busy walking thoroughfare, the hotel is quiet and one...

This hotel is right in the centre near key sights and plenty of good restaurants. Unfortunately even though we booked our five night stay three months in advance it became a chapter of problems. Our friend who was in a double for single occupancy had to move after the first night, our “deluxe” room was up two flights of steep...

We enjoyed the wonderful Murano glass chandeliers and beautiful panoramic frescos on the walls and ceilings. Our room was lovely and warm and quiet, with silk on the walls, the bathroom was Versace and really classy witha superb rain-shower. Staff very friendly and the breakfast waitress worked very hard, there was a great deal of choice and her scrambled eggs...

We stayed 5 nights at the Hotel Pantheon and I cannot really fault it. The room was lovely and clean. We were up on the 4th floor at the front and yes, in the evenings it was a bit noisy, but that is what you would expect when you choose to stay centrally in a lovely older establishment on a...

Staff are attentive and helpful, room clean and everything it needs to be. Best thing about this hotel is it's location. Literally 30seconds from The Pantheon! Amazing. Lots of restaurants around the square. Or head to piazza navona approx 5 mins away for more choice and a different view :) We walked to trevi fountain, Spanish steps, Vatican City, colosseum...

Great location, super staff, and not too expensive given the location in the heart of the city. Lovely historical sites, roman streets, excellent restaurants, ice cream and coffee shops at every corner. Good comfortable room, but I would only point out the inadequete shower and not impressive breakfast. Also, rooms on the front are noisy (but hey, this is the...

This hotel was great value and we were surprised with how spacious and lovely our room was. The breakfast option was varied enough to appeal to most travellers and the staff at the front desk very helpful. Location is the best selling point -on top of everything else mentioned. Right beside the Pantheon with great restaurants on your doorstep, this...

Staying in Colonna

Neighbourhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Hotel Pantheon is located in an elegant eighteenth-century building in the heart of Rome, just a short walk from the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain and Piazza Navona, in peaceful surroundings, characteristic of an old pedestrian street. The interior of this small but luxurious Rome hotel is well-cared for down to the finest detail, embellished with special, unique details such as the Liberty-style staircase in wrought iron, the wooden-clad walls, the ceilings with old wooden beams, the Roman terracotta floors, the artistic windows and the trompe-l'oeils decorations on the hall walls. The breakfast room is a charming place, thanks to the light of the Carrara marble and the dome ceiling painted with sky-colored trompe-l'oeil. Intimate and friendly, the Hotel Pantheon offers a relaxing stay for its guests, also thinking of their well-being with their range of high quality, personalized services such as ticket booking for shows and exhibitions, guided tours of Rome and the surrounding area, suggestions on itineraries and places that must be seen and the plentiful hot or cold buffet breakfast. ... more   less

“Top floor with balcony”
of 5 bubbles behimili, 1 Nov 2016 | Read review
“We were given room 401 (lifts go up to floor 3 so a few steps to negotiate to access the annex part of this hotel. ) which accommodated the sofa bed for the 3rd person in the space with a window. The 2 twin beds was in linked but closed space with no windows so if you are a bit claustraphobic request a room where you can see a window. The TV is bolted onto the wall of this closed space which we did not turn on (no English channels and if the TV speaker arial in the other space accidentally touched the steel tray which supported the kettle etc the speakers made a loud buzzing noise). Shower is a sit down plastic spa affair which is a bit fiddly with the plastic knobs coming loose when adjusting. The seat takes up space so if you are of a larger size and you don't want to sit when showering you will not get in; think size of economy airplane toilet. Cannot comment if other rooms are better but the doors on the left of lifts where adorned with pictures whereas the doors to the right did not.”
