Hotel Colosseum, a magnificent terrace overlooking Rome... Welcome to Hotel Colosseum. You are in the characteristic Rione Monti, one of the oldest and most picturesque neighbourhoods of the "Eternal City", in the peaceful and quiet Via Sforza, at n°10. Thanks to our exclusive location, in the centre of Monumental Rome, you will have the opportunity to visit the main tourist attractions on foot. In the immediate vicinity of the hotel, you will find the Basilica of S. Maria Maggiore, the Colosseum and the Domus Aurea. Crossing Via Cavour will take you to Via Urbana. Called "Vicus Patricius" in antiquity, it is remembered above all for the visits, which tradition claims were made by St. Peter to the house of a Christian senator here. A short, scenic walk along the streets of Rome will also take you to the Imperial Fora and the Church of S. Pietro in Vincoli, which houses Michelangelo's famous statue of Moses. Hotel Colosseum is located at one of the highest points of Esquiline Hill and provides a 360° panoramic view of Rome and its surroundings from a splendid, furnished terrace on the eighth floor of the building, where the guests can enjoy the view while savouring a drink from our bar. All the rooms and common areas of the hotel have Wi-Fi coverage. An internet point is also available for use. At the reception, you can get information about all means of travelling through the city (taxi and bus services, car, scooter and bicycle rentals) and about guided tours. The stops of numerous city buses are a few meters from Hotel Colosseum and the "Cavour" (Line B) metro stop is about 3 minutes away on foot. The Termini railway station is 700 meters away. The hotel is situated in the historical centre of Rome, outside the limited traffic zone (ZTL); therefore, it is possible to get to us by car and park in the nearby partner garage. Otherwise, it is possible to book our fixed-price transfer and airport pick-up/drop-off service.

This hotel is a perfect location and such a lovely hotel. From the moment we checked in the staff where amazing and the man on reception was so friendly and gave us advice on places to eat how to get to landmarks etc. Each night they gave us warm milk for our baby and the staff were so friendly making a fuss of him each morning at breakfast. The roof top bar has an amazing view. Would definitely stay here again. Great location, great staff and great breakfast

Location was perfect, hotel clean and comfortable with helpful staff. 10 minutes walk to Coleseum, lots of restaurants nearby, just make sure you leave the main roads to find more choice. We did the hop on bus 72-hour ticket which was good, especially when going to the Vatican City, also helped us get our bearings for where we were and wanted to go. Roof terrace looked lovely but did not use due to weather, I'm sure in the summer it would be perfect. We would use this hotel again,

Great location for transport. Buffet breakfast was lovely. Rooms clean with everything we needed. However it is the staff that make this hotel a little gem. Fabulous customer service, reception staff very helpful and friendly. Thank you for making my birthday a little bit special (we hadn't mentioned anything) when we return in the evening there was a note and 🍾.

This hotel is a marvellous find within walking distance of all the main sites - Colosseum just round the corner, Santa Maria Maggiore literally at the end of the road, Palatine Hill 10 mins, Doria Pamphilij 15 mins, Villa Borghese 40 mins, Vatican 45 mins - and more besides in between. All the receptionists are welcoming and informative and someone is there 24 hours a day. The room we had was fine. There wasnt much of an outlook but it was incredibly quiet. The bed is quite firm but we slept well. It was cold for Rome but the heating/aircon unit worked a treat and soon had our room toasty. There is a lovely rooftop terrace which was open for us to take in some views. The ground floor breakfast room was large enough for everyone to find a table, even with a very large group there. There is a cooked breakfast available, kept in heated containers, though MOH felt it could be hotter. There was a good range of cold foods to make up a substantial continental breakfast including rolls, bread/toast, cheeses, hams, pastries, fruit, cereals, fruit juices, hot drinks and all of this was topped up regularly by the friendly breakfast staff and you just help yourself. There is a kettle in the room with complimentary tea, coffee and sugar. My only tiny gripe was that the replenishment of this is a bit hit and miss and the mugs are not always cleaned/replaced. I am quite happy to wash up my own mugs but sometimes we came back to one clean one and one still containing cold tea which I found a bit odd. We had a problem with the kettle one day and this was sorted out within minutes by another very pleasant member of staff. All in all, we would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to friends. If you want a very reasonably priced central hotel - this is it. To all the staff - thank you for a wonderful stay.

The hotel was both better and worse than I expected. It was much cleaner and the breakfast much better. But the beds and pillows were not so great - hard flat pillows, saggy mattresses. And the rooms were very small. But we had everything we needed, and the front desk people were very very nice and helpful with finding restaurants, transportation to/from airport/cruiseport, tours, etc. The location is very central. Overall, it is a good clean functional place to stay for a day or two, when I have lots to keep me busy, but not a luxury retreat where I'd want to spend a lot of time.

Had a comfortable stay here. Stayed for 4 nights from 25th Dec 2022 to 29th Dec 2022. The room was small and did not feel like 16m2. Other than that a good breakfast and all round solid offering though was the same all four days. The ladies serving were efficient, polite and pleasant. Kudos to them. Tomaso at the front counter was polite, friendly and informative. Coffee and tea making facilities. Bed was comfortable and not to hard. Shower was small but we made do. Location was very close to Cavour Metro. Solid budget hotel.

Good 3 Star Hotel close to the Colluseum. Just near the Basilica Papale di Santa Maria Maggiore. Friendly and helpful staff. Continental breakfast with scrambled eggs and bacon. Clean Beds are a little bit to hard for my taste. The hotel is a little bit off the Main Street so it was quite quiet regarding to traffic noise. We had a lovely New Year’s Eve on the roof terrace with a 270° view over Rome. Overlooking all the fireworks.

My wife and two kids stayed here fro three nights including New Years Eve. They loved the hotel, as it is quaint, clean, and well located. The rooms are very nice, the rooftop lounge is very special and beautiful, and the included breakfast is excellent. However, what stands out most about this hotel is the service and the staff. My wife and kids were traveling by themselves. This was their first time in Italy, and they speak no Italian. From the day we booked their hotel room, the staff was incredible. They are SO KIND. They booked them restaurant reservations. They booked them a driver who met them at the Rome airport to take them directly to the hotel after their 10-hour flight. Traveling alone and having never been to Italy had them a bit nervous, but the entire staff at this hotel made them feel calm and comfortable, and every arrangement the staff made for them was perfectly executed with great communication. A special shout out to Tommaso who helped with numerous arrangements. For our next trip to Rome, we will be staying here. Thank you very much for an amazing experience and for taking such great care of my family.
