Hotel Colosseum, a magnificent terrace overlooking Rome... Welcome to Hotel Colosseum. You are in the characteristic Rione Monti, one of the oldest and most picturesque neighbourhoods of the "Eternal City", in the peaceful and quiet Via Sforza, at n°10. Thanks to our exclusive location, in the centre of Monumental Rome, you will have the opportunity to visit the main tourist attractions on foot. In the immediate vicinity of the hotel, you will find the Basilica of S. Maria Maggiore, the Colosseum and the Domus Aurea. Crossing Via Cavour will take you to Via Urbana. Called "Vicus Patricius" in antiquity, it is remembered above all for the visits, which tradition claims were made by St. Peter to the house of a Christian senator here. A short, scenic walk along the streets of Rome will also take you to the Imperial Fora and the Church of S. Pietro in Vincoli, which houses Michelangelo's famous statue of Moses. Hotel Colosseum is located at one of the highest points of Esquiline Hill and provides a 360° panoramic view of Rome and its surroundings from a splendid, furnished terrace on the eighth floor of the building, where the guests can enjoy the view while savouring a drink from our bar. All the rooms and common areas of the hotel have Wi-Fi coverage. An internet point is also available for use. At the reception, you can get information about all means of travelling through the city (taxi and bus services, car, scooter and bicycle rentals) and about guided tours. The stops of numerous city buses are a few meters from Hotel Colosseum and the "Cavour" (Line B) metro stop is about 3 minutes away on foot. The Termini railway station is 700 meters away. The hotel is situated in the historical centre of Rome, outside the limited traffic zone (ZTL); therefore, it is possible to get to us by car and park in the nearby partner garage. Otherwise, it is possible to book our fixed-price transfer and airport pick-up/drop-off service.

Let me say from the outset that this is a good budget hotel, which is very clean with some excellent staff. The location isn’t perfect But it is only a short walk from everything you need, including a very quick ( 8mins) walk to the colosseum.👌 The rooms are small and our room (double) had a very small shower room which was fiddly to negotiate when using due to its very compact size. The rest of the room was adequate, although the basic supplies could have been better, we had lots of green tea and a couple of sachets of instant coffee but no breakfast tea and only two small cartons of milk. We chose this hotel to celebrate our anniversary due to its location and the fact that it had rooms with either a balcony or with views over the old town, either would have been lovely…. So well in advance I sent an email to the hotel explaining our anniversary and requesting either a room with a balcony or if not available a room with a view, we were told a note would be put on our booking to that effect…. Imagine our disappointment when we were allocated a small room with no balcony or a view instead we had views over some storage tanks, furthermore there was no mention of our request or indeed any apology that no further rooms were available….. I felt this was a real let down and dampened our celebrations massively……the attention to customer care was certainly lacking. Overall the hotel was clean, the staff overall were great especially the breakfast staff and the young guy serving in the rooftop bar… The rooftop bar was very nice with some superb views over the old town and the colosseum..

Family of 4 on weekend break. The hotel is on a quiet side street, 10 min walk from Termini station and 10 min walk from the Colosseum. Family room with 4 single beds and 2 bathrooms. Plenty of space and storage space, you can leave luggage in the luggage room if you arrive earlier than check in. Tea/coffee making facilities in room. Everything exceptionally clean. Breakfast was a very generous buffet selection, constantly being refreshed, you can also ask for latte, cappuccino etc. The rooftop terrace has great views, a small bar, plenty of seating and is an added bonus to the hotel. The hotel also has a comfortable seating area in reception as well. Staff were friendly and helpful. Special mention to Thommassu on reception who is extremely knowledgeable about getting around Rome and places to eat etc. We hope to return to Rome and would definitely stay at this hotel again.

The most friendliest hotel I've ever stayed in.The staff are most helpful especially Tomasso who arranged taxis and suggested restaurants to eat in.Nothing was too much trouble for him.The rooftop bar gives you great views of Rome and a good selection of drinks and you can see the Colluseum. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of hot and cold food.Ask the waiter and they will make you a cappuccino or latte. Great location, not far from the train station. The only thing I could say as a slight negative is that the mattresses in the rooms weren't that comfortable, but after a long day walking around Rome ,we slept ok. Definitely recommend this hotel and will be back I March to watch the rugby .

Stayed for 5 nights, leaving on March 29. Hotel was in a wonderful location, with plenty to do within walking distance. Numerous restaurants, groceries and other stores in the area. Added benefit of being very close to the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, definitely recommend a visit. Staff were wonderful, informative and customer centric. Breakfast buffet had a wide variety of foods, and also had American coffee available. Only negative was that it does not have a restaurant on site. We did takeout 2 nights from the neighborhood. Would definitely stay here again!

The hotel is in a quiet area within easy walking distance of Termini station (tip – use Via Manin and Via Paolina coming from the station to avoid a steep hill or steps). Our room was very clean and quite comfortable – good sized bed and a nice shower – although the TV was very small (not an issue for us). There was a good choice of hot and cold items at breakfast which was regularly topped up. Staff were generally friendly and very helpful (to the point where we had to wait for 10-15 minutes to check in because the receptionist was giving a detailed explanation of booking the Vatican to some other guests !) and overall our stay was fine. There is no restaurant in the hotel but there are quite a few restaurants of varying quality within a few minutes walk across Via Cavour.
