We booked this hotel with no expectations as two best friends in ours thirties wanting to explore Rome. Hotel Verona is a lovely little family tan hotel in a great location! It’s 5 minutes from termini station where we got the shuttle airport bus and that’s also where the hop on/hop off bus stops too… our room was surprisingly spacious and the beds were comfy. We asked for extra pillows at reception which wasn’t an issue. The bathroom was also a great size, and the shower enclosure was huge! Granted the rooms could do with a little updating but this hotel is absolutely spot on for exploring, we spent very little time in the room but when we did it was a welcomed rest.
Perfectly situated to explore Rome, and only a ten minute walk from the Train Station. We stayed as a couple staying in Rome for our first time. We started exploring the nearby streets and found some excellent bars and Trattorias, a lovely Irish Bar called the The Fiddlers Elbow, don’t go to the Druids Den, they ignore you and so rude. Also if you like a burger try T&C Burgers nearby, absolutely delicious and all handmade. Our hotel was comfy, and warm, and very clean. It could be updated a bit but we were hardly in our room and it was perfectly adequate. A small fridge in our room was helpful. The bed was so comfortable, the only annoying bit was I couldn’t sit up straight as there is a shelf above the bed. The breakfast was lovely, fresh pasties and cakes, fresh fruit and yoghurt and cereal, ham, eggs fresh bread. We would definitely recommend Hotel Verona, the hotel staff were all polite and extremely helpful. We walked to The Colosseum very easily and all around the city although we caught a metro to go to The Vatican City which is at the train station. All very easy to use.…
Well located hotel - easy walking distance to the attractions. City tour bus bus stop at the top of the road. Hotel staff very friendly. Excellent continental breakfast. Not the most luxurious bedrooms but clean with comfortable bed. Would definitely stay here again if ever lucky enough to be back in Rome.
The Hotel Verona is conveniently located near cathedral square - Santa Maria Maggiore. The staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is included - not large, but more than adequate and healthy. It's an old hotel - but it has been modernized. But it is still small - small room, small bathroom, small shower, small elevator. You have to use stairs even with the elevator - strange construction. And some things don’t always work well - including the door lock, toilet and elevator. Housekeeping is not thorough- they forget/ignore replacing things - eg, toilet paper, water cups. It's not really comfortable - but it is clean and OK for a few days.
Lovely hotel, stayed here twice, rooms are clean, got everything you need including mini fridge, the Staff are very friendly, they go above and beyond for you, we were going on an excursion, they opened for breakfast early so we could have something before we went and booked us a taxi, exceptional service and only a 15-20 min walk to main attractions in Rome
First time in Rome staying at Hotel Verona; highly recommend this small family run hotel which is perfectly situated near to Termini and colosseum. Friendly and clean with lovely breakfast each morning; only minor point was that bathroom/shower was exceptionally small particularly for my 6 foot 6 partner but functional and the shower was powerful which was a plus. We will definitely come back to Rome and stay in this hotel again.
Very well located. The breakfast was very good as well as the service there (brasilian woman, very sweet), rooms were well cleaned and with a good smell, good wifi. I really don't have ANYTHING bad to say about it. Very good for a 3 star hotel. I'll be back for sure!
Hotel Verona is clearly a family run hotel (all the staff look the same) not far from the Colosseum and the Termini railway, bus and metro hub. The room we had, for three, was spacious with a well appointed bathroom. Breakfast was very good, a buffet, but there was always a very friendly lady to make coffee on demand (there was a machine, but the hand made coffees were much nicer!). There is a good Pizzeria next door if you're feeling particularly lazy, but also within easy walking distance of many other restaurants. There is also a fabulous Gelateria only 100m away.
This Hotel is well situated and within walking distance of most attractions, including the Vatican a mere 3 mile walk along a straight road. The hotel itself is clean tidy and the staff are very friendly, the rooms are pleasant and cleaned daily. On a morning there is a breakfast provided, meat, cheese, fruit coffee and fruit juice enough to set you up for the day. Bedrooms have air conditioning which we needed in July. If you have motorbility issues you should perhaps avoid this hotel as the stairs are steep and narrow and 5he lift only goes to alternate floors.
We were supposed to go to Milan but good old easyJet cancelled our holiday with 2 day to go. Booked this hotel last minute through Jet2 package. As you can imagine availability in Rome was limited. Got to the hotel at 1pm & room wasn't ready. They let us go in a lounge area & have a cool drink while room cleaning finished. Very appreciated. Room was a little small for 3 of us with the bed blocking access to the balcony. However the balcony was lovely. Spent many hours watching swallows & drinking a beer out there !! Had facilities we needed i.e. fridge , air con & everything worked. Location brilliant for transport & walkable to Colosseum & Forum. Restaurant next door was good. Breakfast wasn't in our package unfortunately & was a little expensive at 8 euros each for continental so didn't have. All the colleagues we met & spoke to were very friendly. Would we return. Yes if got a bigger room. Would we recommend to other travellers. Yes we would.…
