We have just stayed 3 nights at the Virgilio. It was in a very convenient location - easy walking distance from the main bus/train station, close to the Via Nazionale for buses (if you want them) and not too far to walk to all major...More
I read some good reviews of this hotel which is why I picked it, but we were bitterly disappointed. The service was brash (to be expected in Rome) the air-conditioning made an irritating noise all night, the hot water was luke warm every morning. Despite...More
As all the others have said, great location for the money (175 euros on Saturday, around 110 other nights). But also as others have said you can expect double booking and no refund. We arrived on a Saturday night and Andrea gave us a story...More

Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighbourhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighbourhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at
Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.

The hotel is only small so don't think they have any self service laundry on site. We didn't stay long enough to need any laundry done. I suggest you email the hotel, they are very friendly and helpful.
