Just returned from a 3 night stay in this hotel. To start with the positive, the hotel is in a superb location for all major sightseeing locations. Trevi fountain/Spanish steps 10-15 minutes walk. The hotel is also very secure in that that reception is manned...More
Setting:
Situated on a side road to the main road to centre of Rome, it is very convenient for everything, the train station and all the sites, I didn't need to use the metro at all the whole time I was there.

The rooms are poor and very old condition. Bags in the bathroom. Breakfast is a joke, only sweets and the coffee is awful... and the staff has no clue what is customer friendly behaviour. Not recommended!
The staff were very kind and the hotel lays close to almost everything. Not more than a 10 minute walk from Termini (Train station). There was a lift that makes it easier if you have a lot of luggage with you.
There was no air...More
The room was clean and comfortable! Great breakfast ,especially if you like sweets ! The only bad thing was that we could hear people talking from other rooms and the stairs, not enough noise-proof rooms ! The best thing is that the hotel is based...More
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up

basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

From Monday to Wednesday, the area where the hotel is at is not so active at night; however, even when the streets are kind of empty from 12 am, it is pretty safe. Trevi Fountain is located at very close to the hotel, really easy to get there, and there are many little streets with restaurants and bars around the Fountain area. Last year (October), Trevi Fountain was closed because of maintenance work. Check it out.

There was certainly no microwaves in the rooms. We were moved about during our stay and saw 4 different rooms. Not one of them had a microwave. I am referring to the dining area where they serve breakfast, if you can call it that. I don't believe there is a microwave available for use in the dining area.
Hope this helps.

Hi Beckie
Our first impressions at looking at the entrance we thought that we had been up graded, until we opened the door of our room then the bomb shell burst.
If you are one like us who enjoy your breakfast, then you are going to be absolutely disappointed: The juice comes out of a machine and is watered down something chronic, the coffee is nothing like coffee as it also comes out of a simple machine, the toast is packet form, there are only two selection of cereals, type of corn flakes and chocolate flakes, no muesli. There was no cooked breakfast at all and no yogurt.
The only thing going for it was it's closeness to the station and tourist sites.
If this is you sort of accommodation then that is good, but we would not stay here again.
