This was my second stay at this gem of an hotel. The hotel is kept spotless, the internet, is good, the breakfast is great ( including hot dishes ) and the staff are eager to please with good English skills. Public transport is within easy reach and their are restaurants and bars in the area, including a supermarket. The area...

Young couple output of Valentine's Day. Very pleased with the staff and service, breakfast diverse and high volume, rooms fairly quiet, nice hotel architecture, perfectly positioned near the aquaduct, tram and subway lines very close (4-7 minute walk). VERY PLEASED.

A Great, quite little place with friendly and helpful staff. Always someone around to help. Breakfast was a simple but tasty buffet with lots of selection which was surprising for such a small place. Interesting decor, with hand painted pictures all over, and lots of oddities and antique bits about. Lovely little courtyard for sitting out and have a glass...

It is a very cute small hotel not so far from the main train station Termini (15-20 minutes walking distance) and subway stop Manzoni (10-15 minutes walking distance). There are also supermarkets not so far from the hotel and you can reach Colosseum within 15 minutes by walking. The rooms are nice and clean, walls are a bit thin though...

I travelled with one of my best friends to Rome for a long weekend and next time I go again will not hesitate to stay at the Hotel Emona Aquaeductus. The hotel is located 2 stops with Metro south from the main station (Roma Termini). Every single person working at the hotel real nice and helpful.

We stayed here whilst on a weekend trip to Rome. Really nice hotel on the outskirts of the city, it's just a ten minute walk to the Metro, so a great place to base yourself if you don't want to pay the extortionate prices in the City Centre. The room was small, clean and tidy but the best part of...

We loved our stay here. The hotel is quirky and our room was very comfortable with a Jacuzzi type bathtub. The room and the bathroom were both spacious. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast is decent. And the staff are very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel (about 20-25 min walk to the Colosseum).

This is a no frills, clean and friendly place to stay. It is 1hrs walk to the Vatican and along the way you can lso see the Colosseum, and other main attractions. Breakfast was nice and always fresh. Great place to stay if you not looking to spend hours sitting in your room.

first room was so cold we could not get it warm, even with full blast heating, that was too noisy anyway to sleep. Noise coming thru the windows from the cars running on pavement was a real pain. We asked to change to a another room not on street side and could get the room warm and it was calm....

Hotel Emona Aquaductus was lovely hotel. Close to the subways and buses. The staff was very helpful and very kind to us. We were in Rome for the first time and they were very helpful. Our room was very nice. The breakfast they served was a great send off to start our exploration of the city. We had a great...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
