We were told by friends to have an appetizer and drink in the garden. We did and it was a perfect afternoon post shopping and sightseeing. It's a tranquil spot with great people watching and better yet they have an original take on the Italian Spritz. It's fantastic because they made all the ingredients on site. Very well thought out...

The location can't get any better. It's basically in the nicest area of Rome BUT still quiet. You can really walk to everywhere. We were always greeted when we return and left the hotel and the concierge were always helpful and offered any assistance. One morning we took a very early morning tour and they had cappuccinos made for us,...

I’ve always heard there’s paradise on this our planet earth, but I’ve never believed such. In doubt, I always wonder where exactly the so-called earthly paradise is located, how it looks, and when in my lifetime I will come across it. However, my doubt was swept away the day I coincidentally spent a night at HOTEL DE RUSSIE; indeed that’s...

Good linens and the air conditioning worked liked a dream. the breakfast was served in the garden, it was ok, service was not that good and the selection was small. There are some large birds all over the garden and...

Doesn't deliver luxury but rather is a "charming" property. Staff a bit on the lazy side - all lovely but don't really go the extra mile. Housekeeping good. Unwashed strawberries at breakfast points to corners being cut - where else?!

Hotel de Russie is considered one of the most elegant and most expensive hotels in Rome. If you want top class, I suggest you choose to book in their property. It’s not hard to fall in love with Hotel de Russie even if you are a young traveler or a ‘seasoned’ one. It’s because the hotel features the perfect balance...

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighbourhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighbourhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (21:00), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.

“My room overlooked the street. I loved it. Get Junior Suite!”
  • My gorgeous room! I'm pretty sure this was the Junior Suite. Couch on the left against the wall.
  • View from my window. I LOVED it! Looked like a magazine cover. So Italian!
  • This is what I saw when I looked to the right out my window. Piazza del Popolo.
  • This is what I could see when I stepped outside my room door. Interior of hotel grounds.
  • This is what I saw when I looked left out my window (Spanish Steps this direction).
