This hotel was an awesome experience for both my girlfriend and I. We stayed one night here and could not have asked for any more for the 79 Euros we paid. The rooms were fine (although on the smaller side) and the continental breakfast was...More
stayed here for 4 days on sightseeing trip to Rome, excellent location, walking distance to all the sights - and lots of nice restaurants and shops in area. Great bakery/pizzeria right next door! rooms were small but very clean, bed was comfortable, staff were friendly...More
Simple rooms, tiny shower area, but ideal location made us glad to return. Breakfast is OK, but not special--cereal, rolls, yogurt, etc. From this hotel it's easy to walk anywhere in the historic districts and super easy to find good places to eat . Wi-fi...More
Great hotel in fab location. Rooms small as you would expect but very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Hotel staff extremely helpful, phoning taxis etc. although location wise you hardly need them. Fantastically close to everything and in a nice quiet traffic free lane way. Only...More

With three of Rome’s most beloved piazzas within a five-minute walk of each other, the Navona/Pantheon/Campo area may be the prettiest and most picturesque area of the city. Join the beautiful throngs hanging out in cafes, boutiques, art galleries, and wine bars, or peek at a neighbourhood museum or monument. If you want nonstop movida, the streets here are busy with chic bicyclists and Vespa
drivers, street vendors, merchants, and locals. There is no rhyme or reason to its winding streets and there's something to see around every corner, so take pleasure in a spontaneous wander.
I always travel solo. I am not usually out past 10 in the evening, but I have felt very safe there. Love the hotel and staff. This year will be my third trip to Rome and third stay at Hotel Smeraldo. Hope that helps!
