This is a good hotel with Friendly staff. Pleasant room. It is in a quiet location. Overall I would say it is nice. I would stay here again. Breakfast served in lovely little basement room that is light with plenty of natural light from a well designed light-well. Roof terrace is great.

We were looking for a place to stay in Prati at the end of our trip to Rome so we could be relatively near the Vatican and on the west side of the Tiber to make getting to the airport a little easier. We found this place online and it was fine in that it satisfied both those requirements. The...

I had a problem with my reservation at a nearby B&B so I friend recommended Hotel Gerber. Close to the Vatican and the metro it is clean and comfortable and a great price. I even was greeted by the owner one morning. When in Rome I will never stay anyplace else. Also close to shopping, affordable restaurants, and some major...

If you need something clean, close to sights and well-priced then this place is perfect. It's not high tech or fancy by any means, but the room was clean and there was air conditioning for the warmer nights. The fixtures could do would an upgrade - namely the bathrooms - but everything else was totally fine.

My mom and I chose this hotel due it's proximity to the Vatican and tickets for an early morning mass. The location, as others say, is in a more residential area, which puts you far away from many of the tourist attractions if you, like us, like to walk everywhere. There is a station very close, so that definitely helped....

Dear TampaFLScubaGirl, thank you for spending your time for your feedback. In fact we are walking distance between the Vatican and the Piazza del Popolo (center), and have very good pubblic transportion connections to major turistic sights. Beeing in a residential area, we are in a very quiet and relaxing spot. Unfortunately the young man at the reception was a...

I'd booked this hotel in Rome months in advance for three nights, nonrefundable. At some point my travel had me in Rome earlier so decided to stay at Hotel Prati (per a friend's suggestion-so happy I listened! Hotel Prati was awesome, more affordable (same price with bathroom INSIDE the room rather than shared bath), cleaner, far better location and far...

Dear Ms Nadeedee, I am terribly sorry to hear how unsatisfied you were with your stay at Hotel Gerber. Please accept our apologies, as unfortunately even if our Hotel is a Non- smoking area, it happens that clients do actually smoke, therefore we had to be quite aggressive with the air freshener to take off the smoke scent. In fact,...

My boyfriend had to leave Rome earlier than I, so I booked a one night stay in a single room with a shared bathroom. The hotel itself is well-situated close to a metro stop, shopping, and even a bus stop for an airport shuttle that will take you to Fiumincino for 6 euro. I regretted only staying for such a...

It's a nice hotel with good service and very helpfull staff. The room I had, had own bath and toilet. (Don't think all rooms has that, as I saw some on the each floor, in the hallway). The room was small but very cozy. Location perfect near subway line A lepanto stop and only 10 minutes from Vatican City. Staff friendly and very much helpful. Recommend for cleanness and politeness of the management! A place where I will be gladly back soon.

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
