We stayed at this lovely family run hotel in Vatican City ideally positioned for sightseeing and restaurants etc and near the metro. We had a really nice room with mini bar. The owners were so friendly and the staff were great. Rome is a fantastic city we will be going back as so much more to see and will definitely...

I stay at Hotel Gerber for 3 days. This hotel is not a big unit, it feels more like a small family business and my rating based on this. A very good small hotel with good service ,more anthropocentric(personal) approach by management and staff. Clean but old style decorated, maybe a lifting would be a good idea!!rooms are quite small...

Right off the Lepanto subway and a 15 minute walk from the Vatican, this hotel is very well located to enjoy the sights of Rome. Breakfast was good and plentiful and provided for a good start of the day. I had a single room with bath and a furnished balcony - I am happy I did not take a room...

I paid too much money and this hotel was not the place I expected it to be. I guess Rome is expensive wherever you want to go. I was extremely annoyed that breakfast is just between 7-9:30, had to force myself to get up so early since I paid for it. Breakfast is basic, unfortunately no vegetables, not enough types...

I loved my 5 night stay at Hotel Gerber! I had a single room with a shared bath. Both were super clean and I never saw another person using the common bathroom. My room had a single bed, sink, vanity with mirror/ hair dryer, desk, wardrobe and night stand, It also had a nice, private balcony. The hotel also included...

Dingy rooms, the bed was barely sleep able. The AC was as loud as a truck. Th breakfast was terrible, the only thing going for it was the location, and that was pretty specific to my trip. I left after one night, even though I had already paid for two.

Dear Mr Singh, thank you for your review and for sharing your comments. It is a real shame to hear what an unpleasant stay you had with us, and the whole Team is very sorry about that. I am sure we would have done something for making your stay successful, if only you would have told how unsatisfied you were....

Stayed here with my partner for 7 nights in November 2015. It's a lovely small hotel, run by a nice multilingual father and daughter, with friendly and helpful staff. Our room was on the third floor up some steep stairs, which were a bit much after walking for several miles every day. There is thankfully a small lift, can just...

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.

“Ask for 428 "the wedding suite" which is a large double room on the top floor with own balcony. There is also a common balcony on the top floor which is very nice. It has no spectacular view but we loved sitting there with a glass of champagne watching the stars and just enjoying being in Rome.”
