We stayed at this hotel on our last night in Rome. We walked there from Roma termini with two large rolling suitcases- about a 10min walk. The location was fantastic. The hotel has an easily missed entrance but there is a restaurant next door that helped us figure out how to get buzzed into the building. We absolutely loved our...

The staff was more than friendly and the room was amazing. We had the kingsize superior suite on the 5th floor including balcony, everything was very clean and the bed was very comforteable. The internet works very well, furthermore you can enjoy different types of wellness in the suite itself, what was perfect to relax fron the roma-flow. However, I...

Stayed in April 2017. Room that we stayed in looked totally different to the one we booked!! They are very small and storage room in the bedroom smells stale/damp. The bed was meant to be double but it was just two single mattresses put together which kept sliding away which meant me and my partner were just sleeping on two...

This hotel has absolutely beautiful rooms, great service, daily cleaning! The breakfast was mediocre but the location was beyond amazing. Best part, it is an easy walk to public transportation (train station, metro, bus) from the hotel.

I have stayed in many places in Rome and often find that the famous Italian hospitality will make up for a quirky space. The room was nice enough here, the hot water abundant and the water pressure good, but the place lacks passion and character. I did appreciate the coffee and tea making facilities and the bed had 4 good...

... so the hotel gets points for location (50m from Republicca station, or a 500m walk to Termini), being a true 24/7 concierge (not just on call, but someone sitting at the desk), and having a good business arrangement with Cotto restaurant downstairs for breakfast and 10% off dining. Unfortunately I found much of the other details to be average,...

Dear Isabelle C thank you very much for your stay in our hotel. We regret to know you have not had a completely enjoyable stay in our hotel. We would have been happier to know more about your discontent during your 6-nights stay. When you asked to change accomodation, to have a bigger room because from the next day you...

Stayed in this rather unusual 'hotel' last summer. As stated before in another review it can be better described as rooms in a building. Stayed in room on first floor and quite overpriced as whilst reasonably comfortable found the room to be very much on the shabby side & in great need of some TLC. The heavy curtain in the...

Dear Chilled59 thank you very much for your stay in our hotel last summer. However, I would like to say that your review does not reflect very much the current status of the room you have stayed many months ago. During the winter we have gone through refurbishing of the rooms located on the 3rd floor (that's where you stayed...

On our first trip to Rome we decided to stay at this fabulous hotel. Within walking distance to everything with the exception of The Vatican.. however this can easily be reached by the "A" line metro which is a minutes walk from the hotel. In addition the reception staff are extremely pleasant and helpful. The restaurant Cotto linked to the...

We spent 3 nights at the Dharma Hotel. It was a lovely clean hotel in a good location, many attractions were within walking distance. The hotel staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable, our only complaint was that the pillows were all so very hard, and the hotel did not have any softer ones so we...

A first rate hotel. We found it easily, arriving on the airport bus 4 hours earlier than our check in time however our room was ready so we were able to rest before setting off to explore. Hotel was very near to metro station but we prefer to walk on city visits. The rooms are very quirky but so comfortable...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
