My friend and I just took a trip through Europe and this was probably our least favorite spot. The ambiance (decor, mosaics, fabrics) was nice...and we enjoyed a trip around Rome that we organized through the hotel with a driver. However, the front desk personnel were alternately friendly and grumpy. Comments were made about our Internet use when we stayed...

My wife and I were lucky enough to spend our 10th wedding anniversary in Rome and after a long deliberation we plumped for Hotel Celio. We were absolutely delighted with the hotel. It has real character, with beautiful mosiac floors, rich warm rooms with lovely lighting. We stayed in the Ambassador suite which was marvellous. A good sized air conned...

Despite the high ranking of Hotel Celio in tripadvisor and Lonely Planet guide, our personal experiences of this hotel recently have been dire! The bathroom was so small my partner could not physically towel off after a shower !! The bedroom was pokey and dark. Breakfasts were basic, yoghurt and a croissant + coffee/tea in comparison with other equally priced...

I really liked the hotel, everything is kept incredibly clean. Although the rooms are a little small and the shower is about the size of a space capsule, the fantastic service, great location just a few hundred meters from the colleseum, and good continental breakfast more than made up for it. The owner was also incredible nice and easy to...

After spending a huge amount of time researching hotels in Rome, we stayed here for a romantic long weekend in June 2005 and loved it. As a three star hotel, the place lacks some of the services and large-scale facilities (e.g. restaurants, bars, conference facilities) found in higher class hotels, but more than makes up for it with an abundance...

We recently stayed at the the Hotel Celio for a week and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is beautifully decorated with mosaic floors throughout. The location could not be better. Situated on a quite street a few short blocks from the Colosseum and the Forum, it is literally minutes away from many of the best ancient sites in Rome....

We have returned from our trip to Rome two weeks ago and would highly recommend Hotel Celio to anybody staying in Rome. The charming hotel is ideally located on a quiet street, footsteps away from the colosseum and other sights (Forum Romanum, Palatin). There is also a metro and bus stop within easy walking. Hotel Celio is an elegant and...

A charming hotel with small but elagant rooms, each with a feel of style and comfort. The location a perfect distance to walk to fantastic resturants and a fantastic view of the Colosseum. The service was friendly and helpful in all our needs and questions. We really enjoyed the little breakfast that was there for us each morning before we...

I don't like writing reviews..but ok Roberto..this is my honest opinion. Hotel Celio is in a stylish building in a quiet street with a discreet side entrance. The feel is 'club' and boutique. The location has lots of 'local' interest despite being so close to the Colosseum with some excellent and lively trattorias nearby. It is a long walk from...

Great hotel to stay in Rome. Value for money. The room is not that spacious but with a great decoration and really comfortable. The jacuzzi inside the room gave an extra credit to this hotel. The location is strategic especially if you travel with the Metro. Plus, it is very close to the Colleseum! Advantage for those who want to...
