This hotel is ideally situated within Rome. Within easy walking distance of all major attractions, the staff were warm and welcoming. The breakfast was nice and beds were comfy. Only reason I've given it 4 stars is you can here the sounds from other rooms clearly.

My first visit to Hotel Fontanella Borghese was 16 yrs ago. It has maintained its charm, friendliness and cleanliness. From the professional courtesy of the front desk staff to the cleanliness and efficiency of the rooms, plus the ideal location, this hotel is a great value. I highly recommend and would definitely come back.

I stayed at this fine hotel when I arrived in Italy. My plane was late so I arrived at the hotel after midnight. Once I figured out where the intercom was outside the hotel I was buzzed in, a little surreal due to jet lag and my inexperience with Europe. Check in was efficient. The staff was very friendly and...

Small-scale hotel in the middle of town at walking distance from all historical monuments and the Vatican and in the middle of the shopping area. Ideal location. Friendly lady-owner and personnel. Only minor point: the breakfast should have a wider choice. Nevertheless: warmly recommended. Ann, Flanders, Belgium

Like many European hotels the rooms are small but it was very clean and the location is fabulous. It was very reasonably priced for downtown Rome and we could walk everywhere. There is a wonderful Piazza just a few steps away where you could enjoy a meal and people watch and the Colosseum and Forum were less than 20 minutes...
