Being guests in this hotel, we were sent away from the roof top bar due to „closing times“ 40+ minutes !!!) from when we arrived and kindly asked the arrogant personal for a freaking beer or glas of wine. Bar was crowded as f…we could have easily ordered a beer in that timeframe. for 145 Euros the night, unacceptable service. never again
Just finished a 5 night stay at the Hotel and I am sad to leave. It has been a delightful base.for exploring Rome. While the Trastevere is a vibrant, busy neighborhood, the San Francesco is an oasis of calm and quiet. Within decent walking distance of the major sites, it is also very close to the trams and buses on the bustling Via di Trastevere that will take you into the heart of tourist Rome. Bonus, this foodie-centric neighborhood is filled with great little bars, pizza shops, and restaurants that buzz late into the Roman evening. Highly recommend the hotel's rooftop restaurant Jacopa for innovative Roman cuisine.
We absolutely loved this hotel. The rooftop bar has great drinks and tapas. The air conditioner worked perfectly and the bed was comfortable. I highly recommend. The area and safe. Our favorite part of Roma
We stayed here for 4 nights and although I kept changing my dates the hotel was very patient with me. My initial thought on the room was wow this is small, but it was more than adequate really and our bathroom was lovely with good pressure on the shower. We could close the shutters in the windows which kept the room cool without the aircon. The room was spotless and so lovely to have fresh sheets everyday. Breakfast was basic due to COVID, a choice of toast and jam, yoghurt with granola and croissant , but the coffee was really good. We tried the rooftop terrace the first night, it was lovely, we just had a drink and our waitress was lovely. We ate at the restaurant just outside the church next door, we had great food and a lovely evening. If you turn left and left again when you exit the hotel you come to the bridge where you can go down a ramp where you can access the river walk up to the Vatican. I a really feel the heat and this walk was really cooler than walking the streets. An affordable priced hotel with lovely staff, so close to the ‘buzzing’ area of Transevere but on a quiet street I would recommend this hotel,a lovely stay.…
Very polite staff members, very clean (everyday changing sheets and cleaning bathroom), excellent location in beautiful Trastevere! Make sure to visit the Church next door. The hotel is walking distance from bars and restaurants, but even if you're not interested into the nightlife, it is still very quiet and good for relaxing.
