We stayed 5 nights. Room was small but sufficient as we were out most of the day. What would be helpful is coffee facilities in the room or available earlier than 7:30AM. When asking for tour information front desk was not helpful more than what we could have googled. Breakfast was the best part and a good value. Rooftop bar...

Myself and my family stayed at the hotel San Francesco in August 2016 it's situated in the Travesteri region of Rome. The hotel was very comfortable the breakfast was good and the rooftop bar was excellent for a relaxing drink of an evening.

The room was sparsely but adequately furnished and clean. The hotel is on a quiet street and when I was there I didn't hear a lot going on in the other rooms. The staff was very helpful when needed. The 5 Euro breakfast was great in the morning. No complaints!

Stayed here for 3 nights with my sister. Staff were friendly and helpful with directions and interpreting Rome map, also booked taxis for us. Room small but nice, bathroom clean. Wifi a little unreliable. Breakfast buffet quite enjoyable. Would stay again.

My wife and i spent a week here and really enjoyed our stay. The staff are very helpfull and the roof top bar is a great spot in the evenings. The location is very good and we were able to walk to everything we wanted to see. Trastevere is a good area for food and there are some nice bars...

Good location in Trastevere near trams. Staff was friendly. But safe did not work, bed was uncomfortable, shower did not drain probably and no English news channels on TV. Would be an ok place to stay on a holiday but not great for biz travel. Price was high for quality.

I fully agree with the recent review of Kathy S about this hotel. We stayed in the hotel last year and were impressed - not so this week in early October. The prices had climbed dramatically, but the overall quality had dropped dramatically. Our room was little more than a large box room, the bathroom had significant defects and the...

This hotel is located in Trastevere in Rome, a very calm but alive neighborhood. This means you are at a walking distance from all of the attractions offered in Rome. You can also easily commute to go faster. The rooms are clean and offer just a decent size. The hotel offers a bar/terrasse on top where you have a great...

I had booked this hotel for five nights and left after the first few hours.I have never written a poor review but I want others not to make the same mistake I did. The room was dated, had peeling paint/plaster and a very strong musty smell. Thinking this would disappear once the air conditioner was turned on we waited for...

This hotel is in a good location, easy access to the historical centre etc. Excellent breakfasts, good staff, clean enough although difficult to make the rooms look good as they do need an upgrade. Would stay here again though.

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
