We, as a family of 3 people, decided to visit Rome for a special birthday. The location of the apartment was perfect in central Rome with an acceptable walk to the main attractions that the city had to offer. However, the apartment was very disappointing in its appearance and amenities. Situated on the 3rd floor of a 5 floor block...

We had a great time at this apartment. It's very well located, close to the train station. It's a beautiful apartment, with lots of reunion room. Beds were very comfortable. The kitchen could have more cutlery, but they were nice enough to bring the things we needed

The apartment was very attractive and the location was good, but: The shower did not work well and the toilet did not always flush The wardrobes rattled every time a bus or truck drove by, which was often, including in the night We were shown into an apartment that had not been cleaned at 11 am. Trash was left on...

We rented the apartment as we wanted more space. The check in person, Claudia, was very friendly and helpful. In hindsight, I probably would have spent another 100 euros per night to get nearer piazza Navonna or other more trendy area. Here are the pros and cons: Pros: close to train station, a lot of space for the money, wasn't...

We rented the apartment Giulia in July 2014. The apartment was spacious and bright. The location was adequate but a little to far from the city centre for my taste. The only annoying issue was the fact that the basics were in low supply (towels, soap and toilet paper). Overall good value.

This is a very nice apartment on the third floor of a building on Via Nazionale. The location is excellent and with the shutters closed, the apartment is very quiet. It is well furnished, although the layout is a little strange. We can strongly recommend it for a Rome vacation. There are some excellent restaurants and coffee shops close by....

Very nice apartment located in the heart of Republica (just 200m away from Terminal). the lift is so old it can barely fit 2 persons. Feel a bit mislead by the fact you have to incurr additional 60ish Euro for cleaning up fee. Supposedly the listed rate includes all charges.

Comfortable apartment near to the termini bus station. It was very convenient for all modes of transport. Apartment was comfortable and large - great for a family of 4 with a 13 year old boy and 10 year old girl. Lots of space so as not to disturb others sleeping in the morning! Beds were comfy and kitchen well equipped,...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
