Pros: I booked through Delta Vacations and I was transferred to this Hotel from another one due to overbooking. However, it is a pleasant surprise. As a New Yorker, this place is perfect. 30 Minute walk to Vatican which I did for about three times during my stay. It was just by the Metro (their subway) and there is a...

we stayed for 3 nights , the first room we had was VERY small , I am 6ft 2 in / 250 lbs and literally could not fit in the shower !, we made the front desk aware and they stated that the hotel was full that night they would see if they could change our room the following day...

Upon arrival, we were given the option of upgrading to their lone Suite for a reduced rate. BINGO! It made our stay as our large, beautiful terrace over-looked the city from the quiet 8th floor. The hotel is loaded with Americans, serves an average breakfast and suffers from a single, hot elevator. But the service is solid, the location outside...

This hotel is in a great location and is real value for money. The classic rooms are VERY small but that is our only complaint. Service was good, location was awesome, breakfast was good and happy hour was much appreciated. Front desk staff helpful.

The River Palace Hotel is an elegant hotel with great location and excellent service. The quiet room was decorated nicely, with a newly renovated bathroom. The stay included a breakfast with all the trimmings, whether you wanted a typical European or American fare. Happy Hour in the bar was from 6:00 to 10:00 PM and included light food. The hotel...

River Palace Hotel is an older hotel, with beautiful rooms. While on the small side for three people - for two in a room it would be quite spacious. The bathroom is old world marble, and quite elegant. The hotel staff was always friendly and attentive to our needs. They offered to store our luggage for three days while we...

We recently spent four nights at the River Palace and found it an excellent hotel. The standard of cleanliness both of our fairly small room and bathroom was exemplary.Everthing worked, shower was hot and powerful,TV reception included several english language channels was a bonus. It was also very quiet on floor six and we found the bed comfortable-a nice touch was...

Just arrived back in the UK from a three day break at the River Palace. The hotel was located in a fantastic area, very close to the sites without being really busy and hectic. The hotel itself had everything you require from great service, friendly faces and immaculate. Typical of my experience of Itialian city hotels was the size of...

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights after our cruise finished in Rome. Chose the Villa Borghese Suite, which was great. The room was ready when we arrived (late morning) and was large and very comfortable. Front desk staff all very helpful, polite, spoke great English. We were staying on the VACANZE ROMANE package so our room included dinner one...

I stayed here in April but just wanted to share what a great hotel this is. Very friendly front desk bell hop, restaurant and bar staff ! Rooms were beautiful, Italian style. Painting on ceiling, marble everywhere in bathroom, beautiful bath products--it is a small but very efficient room. Wine during happy hour was very good as was the breakfast....

Staying in Parioli

Neighbourhood Profile
Young and well-to-do families are the street flavour of Parioli. A new kind of Rome, this area is centuries away from the Renaissance with its pockets of 1930s palaces, tony boutiques, open-air markets and plenty of coffee shops. Parioli was built as an enclave for last century’s haute bourgeois and still represents as such in 21st century Rome. Need a break? The area has several great sporting clubs known for tennis and riding, a wonderful modern art museum, easy access to the zoo (Europe’s oldest), and is nestled around Rome’s very best parks including Villa Borghese, Villa Ada and Villa Glori.
