Thank you so much! A brilliant set up. There is always someone there for arrival and breakfast but the rest of the time you can come and go as you please (which suites us). The room was clean and well maintained. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The only downside was the amount of mosquitoes that kept coming into...

Rooms are big and beds are comfortable. There is a minibar with free bottles of water and a kettle in each room. Breakfast included in room price was delicious and varied. Fabio and Fausto were very helpful and friendly and they looked after us very well. (:Thank you :) This hotel is located literally on the doorstep of Vatican City...

We have just returned from four nights at St Peter Six Rooms and we would highly recommend this accommodation. Firstly the location is fantastic, very close to St Peters and the Vatican. Most places are within walking distance and for the few that are further afield the bus stops at the top of the road. The rooms are large and...

I always wanted to visit Rome and I did for a couple of days. This has been the 1st time I have ever visited Rome and overall, I would like to say that Rome is God's place. It is God's place because of all the food that is being offered. It is God's place because there are churches and Catholic...

Perhaps the best place to stay while in Rome if you'd like to be literally on the doorstep of Vatican City, and within shooting distance to the Eternal City's top spots. My family and I stayed in the Passetto suites - not near the Passetto, not across, but IN it! Spacious, warm (in the winter with two kids this was...

I was happy with my decision. Clean, nice location and FRIENDLY staff. It doesn't have parking(I have a rental) but not a biggie, I found free parking on the street half block away... iMPORTANT: pay attention to the line colors of the streets, of that depends if it will be free or get a ticket or pay. About local food,...

This absolute gem was perfect in every way. Our room was ideal, breakfast was all you could hope for and the location - well, what can I say - stunning. Every member of staff was lovely, kind and helpful. My wheelchair was easily accommodated and nothing was too much trouble for them. Travelling In winter can sometimes be difficult for...

Just returned from a 3 night stay at this fantastic hotel and cannot speak highly enough of it. The location is perfect - we could literally hear the service in St Peters Square when we arrived! You can walk everywhere from here and the staff were great in providing us with a map and suggested itinerary. The hotel is full...

Magnificent location, our window overlooked the St. Peter's Basilica, a few steps from it. The room is just perfect and Fausto is a very kind and helpful host, so you can easily feel like home. We will definitely return.

We were there two weeks ago. The location is just a few hundred metres from St. Peter's Basilica and it's just the right place. It's near to some excellent restaurants and watering holes and it's quiet at night. Fausto and staff have been so helpful giving us tips how to go around, recommended restaurants and. Room is cozy and very...

Staying in Vatican / Borgo

Neighbourhood Profile
Vatican / Borgo
Frocked priests, colorful Swiss Guards, insistent souvenir shop owners, flag-waving tour guides, and pilgrims from around the world. This is the Vatican and Borgo, Rome's most recognized neighbourhood which acts as Vatican City's front yard. Aside from the souvenir boutiques and a few food spots, the only business conducted here is papal. In the daytime, the tiny medieval sector bustles with holy activity, as visitors vie for elbow room, or stand in line for a visit. Once the sun sets, the neighbourhood is transformed into a quiet and picturesque hamlet.
