This hotel is very close to there termini in rome, so ideal to hop on and off the trains or subway lines, and so close to all the food you could ever want! Not a 4 star hotel mind, normally it isn't a issue as most hotels lie, but with rome city tax working on what star the hotel is...

I have stayed at Hotel Luce twice. Its location near the Termini rail station is a plus. I am not sure that it warrants its 4 star rating, but there is nothing wrong with it! The single rooms are very small, but have all the amenities one would require. Breakfast is adequate. Bottom line is that I have stayed at...

My trip started with a few days in Rome, taking a train south, and coming back by train. Opted for this hotel because it is 1 block away from the Termini. GREAT location, since it is easy to walk around tourist areas, metro is also in the termini. The hotel itself is a clean, rooms are small. Bed was comfortable....

I stayed in Hotel Luce twice: 3 nights upon arriving in Italy and 1 night right before I left Italy. I think the price is really worth it, considering the location. I specifically wanted a place near the Roma Termini. It just makes commuting so much simpler that way. I took a 4 Euro bus from the Fiumicino airport (bought...

A good stay after the San Marco Hotel had transfer me due to my room not being ready. The hotel is in a good location and close to Rome's main railway station. There is a laundry place opposite the hotel and plenty of cafe and dinner options on the same block. If you're solo, be careful wandering around at night...

Tiny room No WiFi in room Bland breakfast Shower size 2ft by 2ft The only thing that this hotel got going for itself is proximity of Termini station. Some rooms don't even have windows. No clue how it got 4 stars More like 1

Compared to most reviewers here on Trip Advisor regarding the Hotel Luce who might have only stayed a few days, my family and I stayed 12 nights at the Hotel Luce. We purchased our stay at the Hotel Luce as part of a combination flight and hotel package off of Orbitz.com. My goal is to provide the most comprehensive and...

I stayed there 2 nights. Hotel is officially 4* by my opinion is 3* superior. Hotel is situated near Termini station. It is good departure point for all tours, airport transfers etc. Building is old but after soft reconstruction. My single room was small but quite and very comfortable. Only breakfast was very bad. Buffet was empty and staff in...

For the final single night in Rome at this hotel I was hoping for more. The hotel has a very tired feel about it and maybe 10 years ago it was a very good hotel, however, I was disappointed. We arrived to a gaggle of 15-20 men all sat along the street on any spare cill or ledge, later the...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
