I had a great stay at Alessandro Palace Hostel. It was very close to the Termini which made getting to it easy when I arrived late. The room was cozy and spacious and I loved spending time at the bar at night. I walked to everywhere I wanted to see easily from their location. Met fun people from all over...

Good location right near termini making it within a 10-15 min walk of the heart of Rome. Really clean rooms, a little impersonal but perfect for a couple of nights. Staff are lovely, always wanting to get you involved, and there is a fab common area // bar set up that has cheap drinks and good vibes. Would definitely recommend.

This hostel has an amazing atmosphere, they did something different every night I was there for all the social butterflies. For everyone else, the 8 bed rooms were very relaxed and a good place to chill out. Also, The hostel is only a few blocks from Roma Termini, a large transportation hub, including two metro lines. And, It is only...

Clean, comfortable place to stay. Nice restaurant beside the hostel. The staffs are so nice and friendly to help you out. Nice bar to hang out with people. Highly recommended. Each day they have some special events organized in the hostel which helps to meet new people and travellers.

1. They shut down access to the "kitchen" for most of the day and night and are so rude and unhelpful even if you just need the microwave. I have food allergies and dietary restrictions that they could not accommodate, which is fine literally all I wanted to do is use the microwave. They told me that it was a...

To start things off, the first time we came to the Alessandro Palace we were surprised of how the staff was so helpful and welcoming. We got the 6 people mixed room, which was very spacious and clean. The overall Palace looks gorgeous from the inside, with 5 floors and an elevator. There's also a pub in which the staff...

Stayed here for 2 nights with a friend. The place is very social and clean. If you feel the place isnt clean you can go to the desk and they try to sort out the situation ASAP. I noticed that our room wasn't as good as some of the other rooms I saw, for example in ours there were not...

This is a great hostel if you like doing events that they organize. Open bar nights, pizza parties, wine tastings etc.... The rooms were very clean and the bathrooms updated. A great hostel only about a 10 minute walk from the train station and 20-30 from main attractions like the fountain and Spanish steps.

Bedrooms and bathrooms were clean (excepto around 10am). Common areas were fine and wifi worked perfectly. Location was not that good: far from touristic places but close to the train station and subway. The hostel charge 5Euros for a very simple breakfast (you can find a better one some place else) The biggest problem of the hostel is the noise...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
