This has been my favourite hostel experience. The staff are welcoming, the guests staying there are always nice too. I'm sad I had to leave, but I had an amazing time here. The only fault I had was the shower wasn't great. You had to move the dial really gently otherwise you'd either get freezing water, or hot water. The hostel has a happy hour in the evening where they offer free wine to their guests to encourage them to talk to other travellers. For the 4 nights I stayed here, I would make sure I was back from my day out to enjoy the free wine and good company and many others during my stay did the same also. One of the employees, Mario, was amazing. He would encourage guests to talk to each other, he would join everyone in the garden for a beer or two after his shift and he would get to know the guests really well. He showed a large group of us to a bar that was open late at night and on the last night, he cooked a large pasta dish with muscles for the group which tasted AMAZING! It's in a prime location too. The metro/train station/ bus station was a 5-10 min walk away. The Colosseum was a 25 min walk away, there were plenty of nearby restaurants and a coffee shop on the same street. There are local mini markets close by too. Very little to fault on this place. I will always remember this experience and I'd 100% live it all over again. Thank you for an amazing time!

Stayed here with my partner, we had been travelling for a couple of weeks and this hostel put a massive dampener on our trip. On arrival there was no toilet paper, I had to wait for 20 mins while they ran to the shop to get some… I asked for a towel they said there were none available and I had to wait til the next day… My bed covers had blood on them, the shower was cold and bathroom was absolute filth. To the manager who runs this hostel your hospitality skills need work, arrogant and belligerent is an understatement. He got into an argument with my partner after asking he fixes the shower. Truely terrible experience, has potential but this manager has to go if you want your place to run successfully.

Despite a great stay leading up to it my stay was ruined on the final night. I arrived back at the hostel to change before going to a football match and found a new person sleeping in my bed despite me still having one more nights stay. I went down to reception to inform them of this to find no one there. I didn’t have time to stay because I needed to make the match so asked the lady who’d been allocated it to sort it out (which I felt bad about as it was not her fault!). On return, I found items that I’d left on my bed of nominal value were missing. I went to reception at 4am to explain this and to request they replace them. The guy at reception had the audacity to try make me pay for new items despite it been their fault the items were missing. After 20mins or arguing he reluctantly phoned his manager who said I should be issued with new items. This was 4am in the morning when I needed to be awake at 7am as I had a tour booked. Subsequently I missed the tour. This could have been so easily avoided if the staff had held up their hands to the mistake and paid for my belongings from the offset rather than argue and make out it was my fault they’d messed up.

Ridiculous apartment. Paid for a private room and got a bed with a patio that is filled with some sort of water container that takes up half or the 4 foot by 3 foot portion. The other side of the "patio' taken up by 3 different air conditioner units that kick on every time they cool a room. I have to listen to that. The remaining room is taken up by cigarette buts and what looks like part of a roof tile. The patio/balcony looks over to another balcony that has 2 dirty mops and other stuff sitting on the railing. Disgusting. On top of that, I have to smell the kitchen and funk of the dirt from a restaurant below. DO NOT STAY HERE!! I will try and get my money back from TRIP ADVISOR tomorrow. if I DO NOT GET OT BACK i WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN.

Room are cheap, but not at all what they looked like in the pictures. Our room was dirty, and very damp all the time. Okay if you’re somewhere tropic but not okay if you are in Rome. The ‘clean’ towels smelt very damp, our shower took 15 minutes to heat up... staff was very helpful on the other hand and great location.

My boyfriend and I booked a private double room with bathroom included. The bedroom was very nice actually. However, it was not located in the same building as the hostel itself (it was around the corner, 2min walking), which was a pain in the ass because during our time in Rome it rained everyday, so we did not want to have to walk under the rain to get to the main buulding in order to prepare some tea. When booking this bedroom we did not know that it was located in a different building. If you want to connect to the wifi you have to scan a code. My boyfriend had no problems connecting, but I could not connect to it (I did not tell this to the staff because I didn't need the wifi). The bathroom had a hairdryer and towels! When I travel I like staying in hostels to meet new people. In this hostel there isn't any comfortable room where you can chat in (they only have the very basic dining room and a terrace which may be good for summer, but not for winter). There are no couches or comfortable chairs you can relax on. There was no pub quizz or any other similar activities (they have the happy hour, which means they provise free wine, but nothing else). Breakfast is very simple. They basically leave a tray of croissants, a coffee kettle and milk on the dining room table. The kitchen is small but does its function. They have many pots, enough mugs and cups and very few cutlery. There is a microwave and the oven does not work. So, if you want to have a meal during the peak time, you may find yourself without a fork or spoon. They have a storage room. The room has a door with a key, but inside the room there are no individual locks. Also, I heard people complaining about noise and cleanliness. I can't give my opinion about the noise because our bedroom was in a different building which was very quiet. Referring to cleanliness, I would like to say that staff don't seem to make a big effort to keep the common areas clean. Nevertheless, many of the guests (travellers) did not clean either! Guys, if you want a clean place you also have to clean your mess! So, after all this, I would probably recommend this hostel for couples or group of friends. I think that if you are a solo traveller you may feel a bit lonely.

I've stayed at many hostels before, and this one was by far the worst. My friend and arrived early and put our luggage in the "luggage room" which was actually a shed in the back garden of the building. It rained that day and the floor of the "room" completely flooded, thus soaking my bag and all of my clothes inside. When letting the staff know about this, they offered no solutions or so much as a sorry. When I asked if there was a blow dryer to attempt to dry my belongings they told me I couldn't use the blow dryer for that long. Next, when checking into the room, we were informed that our room was in a separate building, a 5-minute walk away. Once arriving there, the room smelt very musty, rundown and dusty. The bathroom did not smell good, and there were dirty towels on the floor as well as hair. Finally, the air conditioner, which for some reason could not be shut off, made this awfully loud creaking noise that kept me and my friends up all night. In my opinion, spend a couple of extra euros for somewhere nicer, cleaner, and a more accommodating staff.

Do not stay here if you are a working traveler dependent on internet. There is no WiFi on some floors and poor connection throughout There is no safes or security box and you need to bring your own padlock. I needed to leave the hostel to get a lock and I regretfully should’ve carried all 50lbs of luggage with me just to be safe.... Upon leaving the hostel for the first time (around lunch time) I placed my AirPods in the nightstand in a larger case with other electronic accessories. I had re-organized all of my belongings so I could easily account for each time. Before my roommate and I left, cleaning staff entered our room. They seemed annoyed that we were in the room while we were cleaning so they left until we were gone. Upon our return a few hours later I went to take a work call and noticed my AirPods were missing as well as the larger case they were hidden in. I checked my iCloud and the last time they were synced were in the room at 12:45. They were disconnected after that point. I believe the cleaning staff may have stolen these as no one else had access to the room, the last location and time they were active was when they were in our room. Additionally not sure if this is common in Italy but all of the staff smell like alcohol. Very disappointed in my experience staying here.

This place was fantastic due to fulfilling one of my purposes for travelling. I have made at least two new friends here, its happy 😊 hour idea 💡 is great, Although this place is not perfect 👌, and has a lot of problems like: unaccessible Wi-Fi in the room itself, and insufficient quality hygiene.

Easy to get to from the airport via termini station and a short walk. Fantastic welcome, very friendly, good English and a nice galss of wine in the garden was offered, brilliant after a day's travelling. The rooms are on various floors, the lift is so small, best to put bags in and go up the stairs to meet it. Some doems and some en-suite. Can be noisy on a narrow street with the windows open, but room comfortable and well equipped for a hostal.
