Villa della Fonte awaits for you in a typical eighteenth century palace, with a fabulous terrace and its breathtaking view and with all the best services you can wish for. Johann Wolfgang Goethe once said: For only in Rome can one prepare oneself for Rome: and he was right. Even better if done at Trastevere – we dare to add – the most authentic neighborhood of this city. With its wonderful squares and typical alleys, it has always been the true beating heart of the city and not only because of its central location. From craft shops to charming squares and fountains, masterpieces of the finest art, till you reach the typical Roman “Trattorie”. Surrounded by all this is Via della Fonte d’Olio, typical alley in Trastevere not far from the fascinating Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere. Within all the Hotels and the Guest Houses of Rome, Villa della Fonte has an enchanting and privileged location. In the heart of Trastevere it’s only a two minute walk from Trams and Buses that will easily take you to the most beautiful and famous places of our city: Colosseo, Fori Imperiali, Piazza di Spagna, Piazza Navona, Via Veneto, Fontana di Trevi and many others. All places are within reach even on foot. Staying at Villa della Fonte is no doubt the best oportunity to explore this magical and historical roman world.

Fantastic experience! I stayed for three nights recently, and everything about our stay was great. The location is central within Trastevere, and late check-in was very easy. The staff are incredibly friendly, going out of their way to provide help for our trip, like nearby laundromats, luggage storage, and tour advice. The rooms are well taken care of with comfortable beds and many thoughtful amenities. The breakfast was delicious, and eating on the common patio was a great start to the day. I would highly recommend Villa Della Fonte when in Rome.

My husband and I stayed here for the last three days of our honeymoon and enjoyed our time so much! The customer service is really what makes the experience—Giulia is so kind, making sure we enjoyed not just our stay at the hotel, but Rome overall! She went above and beyond to provide recommendations for where to eat, where to go, and left us a beautiful bouquet of flowers in our room upon our arrival :)

The rooms are clean (with so many snacks, coffee, and drinks in the fridge) and the location is great for being so central to bars, restaurants, and nightlife. Perfect for young people and couples who love to eat and drink, but you'll also be within minutes of walking to a beautiful botanical garden.

Also, the breakfast is INCREDIBLE. So much amazing food to be enjoyed on a beautiful outdoor / semi-outdoor terrace. It was something we looked forward to each morning that we were there. The terrace is also so lovely for just sitting and enjoying a nice drink at happy hour. Would definitely stay here again.

Everything about our stay here was great. They set up transportation for us, recommended a great place to eat, and generally went out of their way to take care of us. I highly recommend this cute little hotel.

Skip this one if you can afford it, or if you are above thirty five. The “lively” neighborhood won’t let you sleep (we should have guessed, seeing the ear plugs by the bed). Breakfast will be served in many many plates, but even if you just want coffee, you’ll have to wait that the café next door is open (yes, the continental breakfast is outsource). For your shower you’ll have to squeeze yourself in (have never seen such a small shower, where every move of your hands is likely to turn the faucet to boiling hot) and use soap and shampoo out of tiny samples. The toilet is clean but repulsive. There are so many hotels of all kinds in Rome, that I don’t see any reason to pick this one.

Villa Della Fonte is a basic hotel. The room was clean, the breakfast was tasty, and the staff (when you saw them) were friendly. The “hotel” is more or less 5 rooms in a building. I only saw staff in the morning for room cleaning but never in the afternoon or evening. That being said, they were very responsive by text. The Wi-Fi was down the entire time I was there which was incredibly unfortunate because it was advertised as being included and part of the reason I booked there.

Despite not having the amenities of a standard hotel, it was a perfectly comfortable stay in a convenient location. Trastevere is beaming with life and provides a difference side of Roma.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming place. The hosts are gracious and dedicated. There was great communication on arrival and our room was great. It is in a busy area with noise from restaurants, but that is to be expected considering the location.

Breakfast was served on the terrace and had a great mix of pastry, yogurt, and meats and cheeses. I am not a fan of typical American breakfast, so this was perfect for me.

We loved our stay and can’t say enough good things about our stay!

Lorena and Simone were so welcoming and warm throughout my stay – like family! Lorena helped with tour booking and transport. The breakfast on the lovely terrace was tasty with fresh warm pastries and coffee as highlights. The room was really comfortable and clean and the location can't be beat.

Lorena and Simone could not have been more gracious or kind hosts. They treated us as friends and family, extending themselves to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The guesthouse is very clean and the beds very comfortable. The breakfast was ample and delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed staying in Trastevere. It is quite lively in the evening with many restaurants and bars nearby so there is some noise but still provides a bit of respit from central Rome.

I was travelling between Spain and Italy, meeting some friends along the Amalfi. Checked into Villa Della Fonte on my birthday, driving out next day to Amalfi. It was all a very crazy last minute trip, with UK travel corridors closing. Giuditta and Alessandra made my birthday so very special! They had a cake/candles waiting, were so helpful with parking, my luggage, pointing me in the right direction to have a stroll in the eve, and pampering me with such a lovely breakfast! I would definitely stay here again! They were so warm, welcoming - and treated me like family! Highly recommend!! Thank you Giuditta and Alessandra <3 xx

We will return. Beautiful, clean, excellent location. Laurena & Simone made us feel like we were at home. 5 room guest house with terrace where breakfast was served every morning to our order! They arranged transportation when needed, recommended restaurants (the best, La Canonica), and did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. Highly recommend this guest house! Charming...
