We stayed for four nights at the end of August and could not have been happier with our experience. I had stayed in Trastevere on a previous trip, and was very happy to return. The Villa della Fonte Guest House was located just a few...More
Just had four nights here and cannot rate the place high enough . Rooms and bathrooms excellent for city centre location. Staff very friendly and helpful with booking taxis, flight check ins etc.
Right by piazza Santa Maria in super Trastevere as well.
Fantastic location in the lively Trastevere area, however the hotel was in a quiet side street which was great for a peaceful nights sleep, except on the saturday night when the bar across the road was open.

Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable
eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
