The hotel pricing, location and staff friendliness are outstanding and exceptionally evident, especially with their smiles and willingness to listen and serve in all interactions! Hotel staff treat you like family, not guests! An area that I individually hope can be designed and enhanced is in the area of amenities! Yes, after a long walk of enjoying the fun, food, fashion and culture Rome thrives in comparison to other countries, hotel provides minimal amenities. I kindly ask that you see to provide smart televisions and possibly some television viewing for non Italian speakers such as myself. I would welcome Spanish and English television. Please create an amenity guide of the key treasures located around your amazing hotel; your knowledge sharing of your amazing city can make a difference between a 4.5 and 5.0 star experience! I love this hotel and will return in my next stay!…
We stayed there for 6 nights end of December - begining of January. Aimply a lovely hotel with a charming owners and stuff. We were welcomed so nicely and we felt at home. All our needs were met - Great location - 3 minutes from Metro and buses. Quiet street, close to places to eat. Nice room and very clean. What else do you need from a hotel in your vacation? Highly recommended.
Excellent location, this is a great family run hotel in a nice Rome area that is quiet and near many attractions. Stefano, Kira, Mario and Maritzo are great hosts, very helpful and courteous. The rooms are quiet and comfortable, during the cold winter nights the heating was comfortable. The rooms are decent size. The breakfast is sufficient but not extravagant. Great coffee, pastry, fruit and yoghurt selection. Absolutely recommend this hotel. The only issue is the entrance, and have spoken to Stefano about this. Not enough signage on the entrance. So once you enter the building, go straight to 3rd floor and you will see reception. Or walk past the stairs and on the left hand will be a lift, take it to 3rd floor and turn right when you come out. As i said i am very happy with his hotel and the great experience and highly recommend it. Couple minutes walk from Republica station and 2 supermarkets available nearby.…
It is difficult to say what we liked best about the Oceania because it is near perfect. In no particular order: Perfect location. Close to Republicca metro and Termini. If you get off at Termini, you don't need to take the metro to Republicca (although you can) because it is very easy to walk from either. Nice safe neighborhood with plenty of shopping and eateries and groceries. Simple walk to... everywhere. Trevi, Monti, the Forum area, and if you are comfortable with the Metro, even better. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. Italian TV if you are interested, but that's now why you are there. Nice Internet., hairdryer mounted on wall. Window opens onto courtyard. Service on the room was great. Breakfast was pastry, bread, yogurt, fruit, coffee, juice. Simple and great. The staff is available 24/7 and very nice with great English. There is a comfortable library with some interesting books, too. The hotel is on the 3rd floor of a building (keep in mind, in Europe the 3rd floor is what we would call the 4th floor here). The door is marked, but when you walk in, you are in a hallway and have to walk towards the end of the hallway. To your left is a cage-style elevator. There is no marking, but there is a large button about eye-level with a red light that is turned off. If the elevator is there, you can open the door and walk in. If it isn't, press the large button and the light will come on. When the elevator arrives, you'll be able to open the door and walk in. Tight squeeze, so get on with people you like. To get to/from the FCO airport, you can walk to Termini and take the Leonardo Express which runs about twice an hour and is inexpensive. A taxi is 50 Euro which isn't bad, either. Thanks Stefano, Kira, and staff for a great stay. If we return to Rome, we'll definitely see you again.…
We loved our stay in Rome at Hotel Oceania. Stefano, Kira, Maurizio and Mario are an awesome team. Location is great and easy to get to the metro. The room was spacious, bed was comfortable and the shower had really great water pressure! Breakfast was great with pastry, fruit, bread, and yogurt options and the coffee was excellent. We hope to return one day soon.
Our stay here was very smooth, the staff are the kindest and welcoming. Room was comfy, clean and was tidied everyday. Also the location of this hotel is very good, many places to see are within walking distance. We will stay here again on our next Rome trip.
Lovely hotel an easy (10 minute) walk from Termini train station. Very welcoming and professional staff who clearly love their jobs. Our room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was delicious (cornetti, rolls, fresh fruit). The location is great, with several attractions and restaurants within walking distance. The piazza della Repubblica is a 5 minute walk if you need to take the metro or a taxi. I highly recommend this hotel if you visit Rome.
Stayed for a night. Hotel is located a 10min walk from train station but still close to walk to all Rome attractions. Room was clean and decent-sized but could use with a bit of a spruce up. Breakfast was simple but good. This is a good choice for buget accomodation in Rome
We were warmly greeted by Mario, which set the tone for our stay here. Great location, near Termini Station but easy walking to all sites. Room was a good size, bed comfortable and it was quiet. Fun decor & the patio between the two sides of the hotel was a great place to just relax.
We were greeted by the owner, Stefan, with a warm smile and immediately felt at home in his hotel. The room was very clean and the beds comfortable! The coffee and breakfast was fantastic with a great selection. Mario and Stefan were both very helpful with any questions we had about restaurants nearby, sight-seeing and called us a taxi too when it was time to go. We especially enjoyed the outdoor terrace where you could sit and enjoy breakfast al fresco if you choose. The staff were all so very friendly and we highly recommend this hotel for anyone wishing to stay in central Rome! Also, thanks to Kira, Stefan's wife!
