We visited for my birthday in May 2017. The staff were helpful and friendly and spoke excellent English. We were given keys to our room before it was ready for us but we popped back to reception and they sorted it immediately. The hotel is really really easy to find - Termini station is a 10 minute walk via a...

This hotel is situated a 2 minute walk from Vittorio Emanuele Metro Station, (stop before Termini if you are travelling from Ciampino airport) Upon arrival you take the wonderfully quaint lift to the 5th floor reception. We were greeted by the manager who was extremely friendly and helpful, one of the ladies served us with tea and coffee whilst we...

Orazia hotel stays close to Termini, which helped a lot when starting and ending our trip to Rome. The hotel itself is in the fifth floor ==> the noice of traffic is low. Our room was tidy and we found the frigde there. Breakfast was tolerable containing yoghourt, coffee, corn flakes, white bread, fruit, juice and so on, but everyday vegetables. However,...

I loved the room as it was not facing the road and it was quiet during nights and mornings. The room was clean and tidy and it had all the necessities. The personnel was amazing and very child-friendly.

Good value and location. Older hotel near train station with ancient elevator - but it works! Five floors up if you want to walk for exercise. Rest of building appears to be offices and/or apts. Decent breakfast for only 5e. Pleasant desk staff and excellent cleaning staff. Good wifi speed.

Thank you Luciano and the gracious staff at Hotel Orazia for making our trip to Rome a most memorable adventure. Do not be put off by the exterior of Hotel Orazia. Once you reach the top floor (in the old fashioned elevator...sorta scary but fun!) you realize "you can't judge a book by its cover." We changed our room to...

This hotel is convenient for the Termini Station which is also the drop-off point for the airport shuttles. It is an easy 10 minute walk from here. The hotel was unexpected because it is on the 5th floor of a very large building overlooking the Piazza Victore Emanuale. Once "buzzed in" you are greeted by a very big impressive marble...

The room we had was comfortable enough and spacious with plenty of storage space and room to move around. It probably could have done with a freshen up though as the wallpaper was peeling in quite a few places. The room itself seemed clean enough however the shower seemed very grubby to me and I was quite reluctant to use...

Clean, efficient, affordable hotel, close to train station. Beds aren't very comfortable, and the walls are thin -- we could hear voices from adjoining rooms. But the staff is kind and helpful, the breakfast was good, the rooms were spacious. Everything was bright and clean, and it was in a convenient, easy-to-access location.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
