This was our second stay at 47 after a first stay 3 years ago. This hotel is well situated and great to walk to just about anywhere. The hotel is quiet, and offers a very complete breakfast, which can be enjoyed inside or in the small inner courtyard. The staff is quite friendly and helpful. We stayed on the executive floor both times (a gracious upgrade from the classic room reserved on the hotel website). This time around (#502), we felt that the room could use some freshening up … paint peeling on the inner bathroom door, bathroom mirror worn around corners. No big deal, we still think the hotel offers good value.

Hotel's Favourite
Spent a wonderful weekend at 47 Boutique Hotel and even though I consider myself a picky traveler, i couldn't fault a thing. The room was spacious and homely with a lovely sun filled balcony overlooking the Piazza della Bocca della Veritá - such a treat! We had a lovely aperitif on the 6th floor terrace surrounded by glorious Roman history, followed by a delicious dinner in the restaurant downstairs. All the staff are super friendly, welcoming and polite; and as far as cleanliness goes, the whole place is spotless! Cannot recommend enough if you want a real treat whilst in Rome!

Dear NicoleG978, thank you so much for sharing your experience with us! We are very happy to know that you enjoyed your stay at 47 Boutique Hotel, appreciating our location and services. We are found in the heart of Rome, surrounded by Roman history: Piazza della Bocca della Verità and the Forum Boarium are just some of the gems that you can admire from the terrace of the rooms on the 5th floor! The panoramic restaurant 47 Circus Roof Garden is our cherry on top: lunch, aperitif and dinner with view of the Capital become magic moments to remember! Last but not least, thank you for mentioning our staff, who is always polite and professional with guests, trying to make them feel at home in the Eternal City. Hoping to welcome you again, I wish you a nice day! Best regards, Alessia P.

We were only in Rome for 2 days so I decided to splurge a bit on our hotel, and it was very much worth it. The room was great and very comfortable. The balcony had a cozy table for two and the view was AMAZING - directly overlooking the Temple of Hercules Victor and the Temple of Manly Fortune (I'm not lying about that - look it up), with other great sites looking left or right down this major thoroughfare (though our room was amazingly quiet). The staff was very helpful and friendly. They assisted us with dinner reservations, directions to a COVID testing site (we needed it for our departing flight), and our transportation to the airport. The hotel is in the perfect location for the major sites in the ancient Rome area - we walked to the Colosseum, the Forum, Palantine Hill, Campidoglio, Piazza Venezia, the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Trevi Fountain, etc. Walking along the Tiber is also a great evening stroll from the hotel. If you're planning on doing the Vatican (we didn't), that's a bit of a haul on foot (40+ minute walk). We booked the hotel's "The Highest" package which included a six course meal at the beautiful rooftop restaurant (47 Circo Rooftop, which I've reviewed separately), which was superb!

Dear PaulSanPietro, thank you for the 5 star review ragarding your stay with us. "The Highest" is definitely a perfect choice to fully enjoy both Rome and our services. The rooms on the 5th floor allow you to wake up in the morning with a wonderful view of the ancient temples and have breakfast on your private terrace in maximum comfort. Our location, then, is perfect for visiting the main places of interest in the city, as you yourself pointed out. And the day ends in the best possible way, a gourmet dinner designed by Chef Antonio Gentile in our panoramic restaurant 47 Circus Roof Garden. Tradition, innovation and quality of ingredients are the focal points of our cuisine and we are happy that you enjoyed all of this. In short, "The Highest" is an experience worth living, we are pleased that you enjoyed it, and for this reason and for other successes received over time we have decided to renew it for the whole of 2022! We hope to welcome you again in the future. Best, Elisa

This was actually one of the hotels I was very excited about staying in during my several weeks in Italy. It turned out to be the most disappointing. I was excited about the view from the room, spending extra money to have a room on the fifth floor with a balcony. (Just under €1300 for 3 nights). However this came at a cost. We were underneath the bar/restaurant which made an extreme amount of noise from early in the morning until past 1am. I’m not talking about music, or chatter/noise from the guests. I mean constant dragging of tables, banging & slamming things. It almost sounded like there was a free weights gym above us. I’m not exaggerating when I say it was VERY loud. For reference, we were in room 507. When I mentioned this to the hotel reception, they said they would mention it to the restaurant staff to see if they could do something to make less noise (they did not ever make less noise) but she advised us to change our room to a lower floor with NO balcony. We paid for a balcony and chose this Hotel for the balcony with a view (which was a small balcony with a lovely view). If noise is not an issue for you, there were other pros for this hotel. -PROS: The check in was very easy and our room was ready a few hours early. The room was modern, spacious, and very clean. It had an espresso machine which was restocked every day. They did also give complimentary waters daily and a bottle of wine (not sure if the wine is just one of our Expedia VIP perks, though). The bed was a king size, very comfortable, but the pillows were not. Breakfast was included for us and was a good spread of options. We also as Expedia VIP got a complimentary 6 course dinner at the rooftop restaurant. Unfortunately we could not attend due to evening tours, so we cannot rate the rooftop restaurant. One thing I loved was this is an eco friendly hotel. Meaning they wash towels and change linens when easily requested by placing a card on the bed. The toiletries are refillable dispensers and they use high quality spa products here. I did use the gym and it has towels, showers, and plenty of equipment. The best part of everything is location. The hotel is perfectly located between the two sides of the city. Easily accessible to everything with a 15-20 minute walk in every direction. It is right across the River from our favorite neighborhood, Trastevere, which is great for food and drinks or just a nice stroll around a fun neighborhood. -CONS: the noise was the biggest issue for me here and I wouldn’t pay for a balcony room because of it. If the prices were lower, I may stay in a lower level room because of the location of the hotel. But the noise I had to deal with at the price I paid for the balcony was simply not worth it. Also, The room had an extremely foul odor for at least half of our stay. The odor was a sewer or wet, moldy smell and it smelt up the entire room. Unsure if it came from the drains or the outside. It usually occurred during the day, so when we would come home at night the room would smell very bad. Being it 10 or 11pm, we were too tired to change rooms to possibly have the same issue in another room on this floor. Lastly, there is no food or room service after 10:30 pm and no food options within a 5 minute walk around the hotel at night. And during the week no food options/lunch at the hotel from 10:30 am to 7pm. So if you get in late or sleep in, food is not an option at the hotel. Lastly, the gym has a lot of equipment but is very crowded. Too much equipment. The bathrooms in the gym were not clean and had no soap to wash your hands. The gym had nothing to wipe down and clean the equipment.

Dear kayymf08, thank you for sharing your opinion about your stay at 47 Boutique Hotel. We are glad that you appreciated our location, but we would like to clarify some concepts. 1) Our 5th floor rooms with balcony, located below the restaurant, are highly rated and we never receive complaints from our guests. In your case, we suggested to change the room with another one which wasn’t on the 5th floor (so it didn’t have balcony), but you preferred to stay in the same one. 2) Our Expedia VIP do not include any complimentary dinner at our restaurant. 3) If you had informed the reception of the bad smell in your room, we would have immediately found a solution, by sending you a qualified technician or using specific products. 4) Our room service is available 24/7; alternatively, the reception gives you all the information you need about restaurants, bars and grocery stores, which are less than 300 meters away from us. 5) All the bathrooms of the gym are equipped with soap dispensers, while showers have shampoo and shower gel. In addition, you can find the column with hand sanitizer and disposable napkins to clean the equipment. We always take guests' feedback into great consideration, in order to improve our services, but sometimes we are really sorry to read reviews that do not correspond to reality. Thanking you again for sharing your opinion, I wish you a nice day. Best regards, Alessia
