We have made a booking at this hotel for November 2017 - and although we have not yet stayed here, we've found the customer service at the hotel to be very poor. My husband and I were due to stay here for my 30th Birthday - something which, in my opinion, has now been ruined. Unfortunately our flights have been...

Tiny, little, clean and nice hotel directly located in Rome. We stayed here for 4 nights and were more than comfortable. The bed is great, the bathroom ist clean and the breakfast ist tasty and sufficient.

Stayed for 3 nights. Classed as a 'Boutique Hotel' but really a small hotel. Very clean hotel and rooms with pleasant staff. Had to ask for milk each day for room beverages but otherwise very good service. Breakfast plentiful but I've never seen peas in tomato sauce pretending to be baked beans. TV has SKY tv but for english folk...

Stayed here for 3 nights and had a good experience. Demetra Hotel is a new boutique hotel in Rome close to the Roma Termini station. Firstly, the hotel was a little hard to find at first as the signage is not very big. It is directly opposite to the Hotel Columbia and you can either take the elevator or stairs...

Stayed here for 2 days. We had mobility issues so we got a scooter. The hotel has about 20 steps to the entrance which was a nightmare no wheelchair access which is very strange. The hotel staff where very nice helped as much as possible with the scooter. It's not very well marked we looked around for the hotel it's...

The location is perfect vey central and in walking distant of many historical landmarks and for those that aren't the tube station is a stones throw away. There is a couple of negatives tho, it...

Demetra Hotel is really nice and clean. Small but very comfortable rooms with tub and fridge. It's just a few metres to Stazione Termini, the Metro, Piazza della Repubblica and to Via Nazionale. By bus you can be at the Vatican in nearly 20 minutes. Breakfast is very good with everything you wish for Breakfast.

Great modern hotel, friendly staff, within easy walking distance of the termini. Rooms were up to date and very clean. The breakfast was plentiful and varied. Would defiantly use this hotel again. Plus the local restaurants were good value for the money.

Do not stay here if you value your sleep, the beds are ROCK hard. The rooms, are clean. it would be pretty hard for them not to be considering they are the size of match box!. if you are claustrophobic do not stay here, the rooms have tiny windows, with no views, and rooms are dark. The air con would...

Really pleased with our choice. Clean, modern and well located. Easy (5 minutes) walking distance to main (Termini) station and Metro. 20-30 minute walk to the main (much more crowded) tourist area. About the same to the Colosseum/Forum etc and minutes from the metro that will take you to the Vatican (or 45 minutes to an hour walk if you...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
