We booked your hotel 2 months ago, 2 nights on 29th and 30th April, for the labour day long week end. We arrived as planned around noon, rang the door bell a few times and no answer. We managed to get in and went to the first floor. The door was closed, no one there. We tried to call the...

Small (I believe there are only four rooms) on the first floor of a centrally located building, right opposite the Il Sistina Theatre and just a few minutes walking from the Spanish Steps. There is a (small) elevator and you get four keys to get into the building. The room was relatively large, with a nice double bed, separate shower...

We stayed in this wonderful hotel for two nights. The owner and all personal stuff were so caring and made us feel home! Our room was just great and we enjoyed i a lot. The location is central, close to the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain and some a lot of great restaurants and shops. When you plan to visit...

I traveled on my 40th birthday with my husband. I had booked this luxury room months before we went and when ever I emailed asking questions they was answered near enough straight away. I booked a car to pick us up from the airport which I would advice, it was great not having to worry about getting there and we...

We stayed 3 nights and very pleased with the room modern decor and comfortable. We had the large room with balcony and street view. Not much noise from the street. Great location for Spanish steps, trevi fountain and underground station. Breakfast (extra paid for when we checked in) was coffee & croissant & juice from cafe next door. Kettle in...

Stayed here for 4 nights at the end of August. Requested twin beds at the time of booking and they were set up when we arrived. The room was lovely, clean and spacious. The aircon was most welcome after many hours out walking in the heat! The hotel is situated close to the Trevi fountain and there are lots of...

It is a walk up with no elevator and no porters to help up with luggage. Also the one person working leaves at 6:00pm and no one is there until late morning. Therefore, anything you might need (including breakfast) has to be on their working hours.

We had unexpected fees applying as we arrived late 25 euros not included and not written in the package booked. Then after many emails, she accepted to abandon the charge. Then when we arrived, she mentionned the city tax we had to pay cash without any receipt which is strange in Italy as every payment has to be have a...

Wonderful room, much more stylish than you'd expect for anything near this price and far more quirky than you'd get from any hotel, central location, very affordable on a budget. Didn't have much contact with the lady who ran it as she was ill when we arrived so wasn't there, but she made sure there was someone to greet us,...

Staying in Colonna

Neighbourhood Profile
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
