We were booked for 6 nights 18-24 July 2014. The booking was made in Australia on 24 January with the hotel direct, first by phone, then followed up in writing. We requested the sole use of a family room for 2 people at the family l room rate. with a request for a double bed and a sofa instead of...

We thought we had been dropped off at the wrong place! there is no hotel entrance just a wooden door. 3 flights up via a quirky lift and we reached the small reception. Room was modern clean, and a good size (3 adults) Our room was literally right into the breakfast room, so we could hear everything from 7.30. Also...

We loved to stay at the Residenza Ludovisi. We went there with our family and stayed for 4 days. The staff at the reception was very helpful, kins and spoke very good english. Our room was on the 3rd floor, it was cleaned, spacious and the style was very modern and nice. It had evrything we needed and it was...

We were excited about staying here and when we arrived to check in they told us they were full. We were shocked. They then had us go to Residenza Borghese. The older gentlemen saw us with all our luggage and felt sorry for us so he paid our cab. Not a great first impression. The room at the Borghese was...

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a short get away, even though we were only using the room to sleep in it was a little bit of a disappointment. Firstly it was VERY hard to find, there was only a tiny note on a buzzer which took us ten times to wall up and down the street to find....

We almost couldn't find the hotel. It is on the third floor of an old apartment building served by a 60 year old lift (elevator). There is no sign at all that there is a hotel in the building. When you get up to "reception" there is one person sitting at a table to receive you. However the staff were...

We stayed at Residenza Ludiovisi for three nights in July and found the accommodation to be great. To find the building the hotel is in it is best to google 30 via Lombardia as opposed to the actual name of the hotel - google gets it a bit muddled. The gentleman running the reception area was so kind and generous...

If you ignore the fact that the BA website has it quoted as four stars, going in expecting the worst after reading some awful reviews, it was actually not that bad. The location is fantastic, it was extremely cheap, the room and ensuite were perfectly clean, and the fact that is is hidden within an old Rome building adds a...

Just stayed in the Residenza Ludovisi last week was very pleasantly surprised the hotel is set I a typical roman apartment block you step inside it is beautiful. I found the staff very friendly and helpful. The rooms were cleaned everyday very modern but still with that roman feel. They even supplied a mini bar. There was even a safe...

There was mold in our room's bathroom! The Internet was not working most of the time, you cannot accept phone calls in the room, the breakfast is extremely limited, and you can hardly find the hotel since there is no sign of the hotel. The price for the room is way too much for the quality of the services and...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
