My husband has always wanted to come and visit Rome, so we did. We stayed at the royal suite du Vatican for 3 nights and found it comfortable. Although when looking in close detail the walls are a bit shabby and the grout and shower is a bit of lime scale, the rooms are spacious, clean and the bed is...

We had a great stay with Royal Suite du Varican in Rome. This is a guesthouse and not a hotel, which makes it even more local and cosy. The rooms are small but there's everything you need. It's a very GREAT location close to the metro and the Vatican City. Thank you RSDV :-)

Absolutely wonderful as far as guest houses go! The owners are a husband and wife (Simone and Valentina) and they could not enough to make sure you are comfortable! The room and bathroom are modern/clean/air conditioned/modern amenities! The decor is contemporary and very clean! Breakfast was served in our room and it was a typical Italian breakfast (espresso, multivitamin cold...

Actually a luxurious hostel, since it is an apartment turned into a hotel, this location is a gem for Vatican lovers like me. The entrance to the Vatican museums is just around the corner. Don't be alarmed that is far from the city center, because everything is actually within walking distance. You will have a very good restaurant nearby (Francis...

My friend and I enjoyed this place - it's very close to the Vatican and the Vatican Museum, the rooms are large and clean. Flávio and his wife kindly picked us up from the airport when the original driver didn't show up and were very gracious about it. But when we were driving, they both offered that we could stay...

This is not a hotel but that isnt a problem. Good, clean and comfortable room with a view to the Vatican. An extremely helpful staff. Perfect for anyone visiting St Peter or the Vatican Musei, just a 7 minute walk. And a very reasonable price tag that justified the 5 star rating.

Stayed at this little hotel for 3 nights in mid January 2015. Hotel is literally 2 minutes from the vatican museums and 2 minutes from ottavianio metro station so ideal location wise. We got a three day metro card and hopped on and off the metro all the time. There was a continental breakfast of toast croissants orange juice and...

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
