A brilliant place to stay if you are a solo female traveler. The hostel is in a great location, near the train and metro, and within walking distance to a lot of sights. Overall the accommodation was quiet, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast and wifi were included and both were excellent. The staff were great - very friendly and helpful.... More

I stayed at Hostella for a week, I chose it as it's female only and it was my first time traveling alone. It was the best decision I made. I felt very at home here, the staff were lovely, it was cleaner than some expensive hotels I've been to and there was just a nice, relaxed atmosphere. Daniel checked me... More

I spent a week in a shared room. I found the hostella to be in a great location, as it was close to a couple metro stops (and I didn't really want to go to the Termini station every time I wanted to take the metro). I also found some great restaurants within walking distance. While the area around the... More

Hostella is perfectly located near Roma Termini and many tourist spots can be reached by foot. Although the entrance can be obscure as they have no big sign, the hostel itself is spacious. I was greeted by Daniel, the owner, and he was so friendly and helpful to suggest the interesting places to see, including the supermarket and the amazing... More

I stayed here for 3 nights and have no complaints. I stayed in the 3 bed room and space was fine. Lockers were sufficient for a short stay. The bed and baths were clean and comfortable. I never had to wait for a shower or toilet. The breakfasts were simple but sufficient. Free wifi that never failed. Staff were very... More

One of the best hostels I ever stayed in. The rooms were so big and nice. The place was so clean. You can wash your clothes and they provide detergent. The staff were so lovely. Fast wifi, nice breakfast, locker provided. I wish I could stay longer. Highly recommended.

This hostel is operated based in two flats nearby Termini station, and they only take female guests. If you are walking from Termini with suitcases, it may take you about 7 to 10 minutes to get there. The staff are friendly and helpful. The location is great with easy access to most tourist sites. It is five stops away to... More

I absolutely LOVED this hostel!!! Location is excellent, it's barely a ten minute walk to Termini station and less to the closest metro stop. The staff were all absolutely incredible, and the hostel itself is lovely. I stayed in a three bedroom and it had loads of space. Reading lights and plug points by the each bed. It's really nice... Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
