EXTREMELY RUDE STAFF. And I just arrived one hour ago.... not hopeful for the next days! I understand the lady is alone but I told the hotel I was arriving early and it was written in my reservation that I could check-in from 9 am. The shower was not working, and now it's been one hour I'm waiting for another...

Had to come as a last option due to cancellation. It's clean but very basic with tiny bathrooms and tiny space. The location is excellent next to the main train station and it's cheap. Breakfast is in a cafe across the road and only a coffee and croissant but it's really cheap to get additional bits there and it's delicious...

I found the staff helpful and friendly although some times you will have to hang about to be dealt with as the reception wasn't always manned. Breakfast is more than passable yes...

The chamber and facilities are absolutly not in line with their proposal in the website (photos diffrent from reality). The chamber was dirty (very bad cleanning and a lot of dust). The toilette was damage, the Wifi never worked and the noise in the evening was non stop (chamber near the reception).

We booked Hotel Soggiorno Blu then we were ushered to Hotel Blu. The room was tidy but noticed they dont change the bed linens every day. Good part, they change towels everyday. The room is a bit cold and the climate control isn't working. The place is really near Termini station and provides easy access. The building's elevator/s was/were broken...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
