Just wanted to say hoe great the staff of this and the sister hotel (Independent) were to provide assistance when we were stranded in Rome. They arranged for meals when none were available elsewhere and did little extras like printing boarding passes when everyone was freaking put about the possibility of cancelled flights. Thank You

We stayed in this fairly new hotel for a weekend sight seeing, everything was very clean and tidy. Breakfast is continental but same every day so you may get bored after 3 or 4 days. Had orange juice our 1st morning but after that ran out and wasn't replenished. Sunday morning 7zm was really busy. Room had comfortable bed clean sheets & towels, mini fridge, tv - CNN is one of the only English channels. Carpet and walls looked a bit tired. We were facing side of hotel and the road outside was very noisy. Air conditioning was noisy as well but drowned the traffic noise. The staff were all very friendly and spoke good English the exception was the night receptionist who was very rude and abrupt. The hotel is outside of Rome centre so be prepared for the 10-15 min walk to local metro station. The road is very busy and not the cleanest in places. The metro station Cornelia (orange line)is next to McDonalds it takes around 10/15 mins to get into Rome from there. If you want the Colleseum go to Termini and change to Blue line. There are a couple of local shops and restaurants nearby our favourite was Octavia Romana. All in all enjoyed our stay but if we came back I would look for a hotel nearer to town.

My husband and I were booked into this hotel as part of a tour package that brought us to Italy. The room was small and smelled of sewage the whole time. The air freshener they had on the desk tells me that they knew it stunk but didn't want to do anything about it. The bed was hard (but to be fair, I found most of the beds in most of the hotels we stayed at too firm for my preference). We had a lovely view of a bunch of overfilled dumpsters. To top it off, when our group was instructed to stop by the hotel and pay the tourist tax, the employee working demanded that he receive one payment for the whole group and did not want to process the payments by room. He threatened to call the cops on us and shouted for a good long while until he finally started taking payments.Truly no need for such unnecessary drama. The breakfast was fine, but they were often out of cups or plates. We did not have dinner here, but the tiramisu was delicious for a hotel. It's also a fair distance from anything interesting, located in an area that I did not feel particularly safe in. Would absolutely NOT recommend.

The room was very tired in decor/ standards, the room we had was adjacent to a main road, 24 hr traffic, and was next to a road leading to a coach park, and leisure centre, not good for getting a good nights sleep. The food hygiene and handling was well below UK standards, I am an experienced chef with a 5 star rating , so I know what to look for, think staff need training. Tepid powdered scrambled egg, hot dog pieces and dry / stale bread, cake and croissant, and accompanied by a drink from a machine that churns out coffee, hot chocolate and goodness knows what, all mixed, have they heard of allergens

Warm and friendly welcome, hotel room ready for our arrival despite this being earlier than check in. Excellent, spacious room with all amenities and lovely addition of balcony. Breakfast selection was good, although a little bit bored of the same by the last day but good quality food. Filippo and team in the restaurant attached were friendly welcoming and always accommodating. Great quality and choice of evening food in quiet and romantic setting. Around 15 minute walk to metro Cornelia, can catch 246/247 bus but we found this to be unreliable so tended to walk. Be prepared for this as does add more walking to an already heavy walking city but we found this to be an acceptable sacrifice for the price. Would be happy to stay again.
