We stayed here for a long weekend in the end of May. The location is fantastic. While located in a quiet back street, it's walking distance to more or less all the important sights. The area offers plenty of good restaurants and it's only a five minute walk to the airport bus stop. When you get back to the hotel...

€10 euro taxi ride from the St Pietro train station (if coming in from Civitavecchia). Friendly greeting and quickly allowed into room before lunch. 112 turned out to be a double plus single bed with shower over bath - clean, away from traffic and a good size. From website pictures there are other variations. Windows and shutters can be opened/closed...

We spent 5 days in Rome in may 2016, and stayed at this hotel. Location is quite good but the absolute best in our opinion was the great terrace with view to castel de st angelo and the dome of st peters chuch. We were really surprised that we more or less were alone evey time. A perfect place to...

In 40 years of traveling, I don't believe I've ever had a worse experience with a hotel. First there was an error with the travel site's reservation system. When we arrived, under the threat of charging us multiple cancellation fees, the hotel charged us the maximum rate they could...a price double what THEY had agreed to, via email only the...

Dear Mr. Jim, We are sorry you had a problem with the reservation systems you used, but this did not depend on us. We did receive your (3) reservations through Expedia.com and Travelocity, which means that for problems with THEIR reservation system you should complain with THEM and not with us (but as far as we know the only problem...

I enjoyed staying at this former Carmelite convent in the centre of Rome five minutes walk to St Peter's. The staff are one of its major strengths, as nothing was too much trouble for them. The rooms are comfortable, clean and spacious and there is a comprehensive buffet breakfast. There is free WiFi but reception was intermittent apart from in...

This hotel was full when we first requested accommodation so we booked elsewhere. Our friends had family who had stayed there before, so when the hotel kindly let us know that rooms had become available we cancelled our other hotel. Hotel location is excellent - very near to the Vatican and Castel Sant Angelo. We walked easily to all the...

This hotel is roughly 10 minutes walk from the Vatican and is very good value for money. The location is brilliant for visiting the major sights as well. Dear guest, as already told to another member of your group, we think that the problem you had was not due to a bad layout of the breakfast room, but big organized groups like yours coming down for breakfast all together with too little time to eat. Our buffet is more than 16 meters long, perfectly organized and constantly refurnished,...

Very nice hotel, but breakfast room badly organised layout. Food selection is at both ends of the long dining room. All the food should be displayed in the adjoining room where it can be organised better. Mind you the scrambled eggs looked like pre war dried eggs and the streaky bacon was cremated. The hotel itself is OK, although all the...

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
