Firstly the day time receptionist is a dear sweet kind man who cannot do enough to help you . Thank you Marco for the good morning kiss I really appreciated it.... The hotel is spotlessly clean , there was not even a water spot anywhere in the bathroom , its not a new bathroom , but its the cleanest bathroom...

The hotel is centrally located couple of blocks from Rome Termini Station, buses and trolley. The area is a bit noisy at night since its location is surrounded by restaurants in the area. The triple rooms are not too spacey but defitnetely clean. It is hard to move around when there are more than 2 people. The bathroom was very...

Hotel can be reached walking from termini station. It is located in a nice street surrounded by multiple cafe. The staff attitude must be more professional. The hotel lift is from old times!! The room was big and clean. The breakfast is very poor.

This hotel was close to the train station and metro. Hotel staff was especially nice! The bed was extra firm. The room was spotless. The breakfast had canned fruit, cakes, pastry, cheese, ham, bread, jelly, cereal, and yogurt. There was a selection of coffee and tea.

First what really pissed me off about Serena Hotel was its reception staff (3 middle aged men) very grouchy and bad-tempered as if they were pointed a gun at to work there. They were unwilling to answer simple and routine questions. Even I left my pants in the room I don't feel like calling them and checking with them cuz...

Hotel Serena is a quaint hotel just two blocks from Termini Station. Marco will greet you with a smile and provides wonderful advise for navigating the city. The antique elevator is a charming throwback to days gone by. The rooms are spacious (for european standards), have AC and roomy bathrooms. Breakfast is good with a wide selection of sweets. I...

Stayed at the hotel during our Europe tour the room was very small for 3 people. My wife bruised her leg because of limited space. However, the hotel is very close everything restaurants, railroad and stores. Prices at restaurants were reasonable.

This was a nice hotel, good air con, staff are nice, Marco on reception v friendly and a bit of a messer so will try get you with jokes! The lift is really old and slow but it works. Breakfast: awful. Coffee was horrific and tasted like sweet petrol no joke. The bread is hard and no toaster. The cereal...

This hotel was two blocks from the train and bus station, an easy walk! Also within walking distance of main attractions. Small but comfortable. Good breakfast in the mornings. Helpful staff. Lots of hotels and restaurants within the two blocks.

Hotel is small. Great location, 2 blocks from Termini station. It's quaint with old fashion elevator. Nice free breakfast! First time in Rome and I found the people are rude and unfriendly... However, I have to mention that the staff at Serena were nice.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
