I stayed in the La Fenice Hotel for two nights in May. Overall, the hotel was okay but was not particularly great value for the money. The front staff were friendly and helpful with one major exception (more on that below) and the rooms were okay, but not great. The location is good for a first time visitor to Rome...

Stayed for a long weekend arriving at hotel at 11 on Friday morning. We expected to just dump bags and get room later. They gave us coffee and croissants (gorgeous) and our room 5 mins later! All staff very friendly and helpful, room was adequate in size, clean and kept that way during our stay, and pleasantly furnished. Breakfast room,...

We were booked in to La Fenice for 4 nights. We turned up on the first night, a Saturday, only to be told there had been a problem and there wasn't a room for us. We were offered a room at their sister hotel (Trevi Hotel) for the night and could come back the next day. We would have rated...

Spent four nights in Rome at this 8 room facility. The room was spacious and equipped with a Jacuzzi tub. Located between the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain and with in walking distance of many of the top sights. The staff was courteous and very helpful. I would also recommend Julio's, the little restaurant next door. I would definitely stay...

My husband and I found La Fenice to be extremely well located - we were within minutes walk of the major sites yet, because the hotel is on a side street, it felt quite peaceful. The staff were very friendly and helpful - moving us to a triple room after an initial mix up with the room. I would advise...

Having read other reviews my husband and I were wary of what we would experience at this hotel. Our room and en suite were decorated to a very good standard. The reception staff were very pleasant and helpful ( and spoke good English compared to our Italian). Unfortunately breakfast was not up to the same standard and the lady serving...

We have just returned from a 4 day break in Rome & would suggest if it's a short term break in a central position you're after you can't go wrong with La Fenice. Its ideally located for many of the popular sites, 5 minuted walk from the Trevi Fountain & Spanish Steps, 10 minutes from the Pantheon, and 15 minutes...

Our stay at La Fenice was much better than I thought it would be based on previous trip advisor reviews. The hotel is no longer under construction and it is charming! My husband and I had a small room. We were able to use the closet space and desk space for storage, so that helped tremendously. The bathroom was a...

We were moved to the La Fenice after arriving at another hotel, which had sold out our room before we arrived. We were met by a very sweet older man, Antonio, who then walked us down to a local restaurant, for a very late dinner. Because we were to leave early the next morning for Sorrento, he offered us a...

We stayed at this hotel due to overbooking to another one. We noticed soon that this was not a proper hotel, although it's not finished yet. Room was small and very simple. View from the window was to construction yard of the next building. Telephone was installed in the room but not working. Air-conditioning was working well and was considered...

Staying in Colonna

Neighbourhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
