We were into our second day in Rome and had checked out of our hotel that morning, we had a 4pm train to Pisa to catch but unfortunately whist touring the Vatican museums I developed a migraine that ballooned really quickly and I was terribly sick. When I'm ill like that the only thing I can do is lay down...

I had stayed in this hotel for 3 nights during my trip to Italy in the end of Apr 2015. Location of the hotel is excellent as it is just 2 min walking from the Temini Railway Station. All facilities as very basic. Very small rooms. We got private bathroom which was clean but again very small. Since it was...

We stayed here for 2 nights. This hotel was convenient for us because it is 3 min walk to main rail station Termini. If you are traveling on a budget and have to leave early in the morning or late at night this is a good budget place. The whole area is not a great choice, but if you travel...

Hotel Resi, also known as Hotel Washington, promised a private bathroom outside of my room for just €53. This was agreeable to me and very clearly communicated that it was my own bathroom with none to share with. I arrived and the bathroom was dirty, and obviously used recently. I complained to the front desk and they called the manager/owner....

I am not a person who like to comment, moreover giving a negative comment. However, there are just too much problem to accept it as satisfactory hotel. I had stay in for 3 nights. Besides those minor things like no drinking water, no TV channel, bad services etc, the most unacceptable is no hot water in winter! I tried to...

We stayed in this hotel twice this trip. Four days when we arrived and four days before we left. For us being near the Termini Train station is essential, besides access to trains there's a major bus terminal, the metro lines all have stops here and tour buses have stops here. The hotel is a block away from the train...

Nothing special, we were here one night because we were leaving Italy next day and also we were not able to find anything free that day around, staff are friendly and quite helpful, room basic and good thing is that 50 metars away is the main train station.

the room was very basic, although reasonably clean, it was more like a hostel than a hotel. expensive for what you got, would rather pay a few euros more next time and book into somewhere else, won't be staying there again.

We stayed here for one night because we were leaving Italy the next day. It was affordable and right by the train station (5 minute or less walk to the train station). There are a number of hotels in that building and I think they're all attached to one another because we had booked initially with Hotel Lucia and therefore...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
